Breakfast in Switzerland? How Much???

Wouldn’t miss the X7, but the IT 490, that would be another story.

I dread to think what you would have to pay for an immaculate RD400 these days. Beautiful bike.
It was a beast, original parts and low miles as it came from the states, took it up my local enduro track a few times and it was a handful.
Power on power off that was the choice😁😁
Going to restore but had lost interest by then🙁

Huge thanks to a fellow funster on site here in lauterbrunnen for the use of his compressor after the useless Fiat offering put the gunk in and refused to get past 20psi Richard J you are a star👍👍
I tried pumping up my car tyre with the brand new Iveco compressor supplied with my van, 5 mins later it packed up😂😂
Keep on forgetting to have them give me a new one although not holding out much hope of it blowing up a tyre to 90 psi🙁🙁

I rode my mates YZ490 a few times but couldn’t do with the aching wrists for a week after.
My 250 was enough, it‘d take a fair rider to get the most out of a 500.

WESTY66 you could of had a full pot of Tetley and a bacon sarnie at ours for free, Mrs R would have asked you to wipe your feet on the way out mind.

I would have thrown in some crumpets for a lesson in “Carthago” as on Tuesday we’re picking up our new Compactline and will doubtless need lots of advice

duplicate. Sorry.

Sorry WESTY66 as we’ve almost hijacked your thread.

We have just spent 2 nights at Hawick with motorhomers from Switzerland and they see this place as VERY expensive. I cant say personally I agree but it shows how different folks have different perspectives.

No good asking him, he's got a 'chubby' one! 😄

Could it be just the site fees they found expensive?

My neighbour reckons he's a massive petrol head, goes to Goodwood and supports Ferrari in F1. He quite often borrows my petrol lawn mower and has never ever noticed that it gets a splash of Castrol R in its fuel tank, even my missus notices the aroma when I'm cutting the grass !

You are very welcome, and thanks for the tip about the breakfast; cloudless when we got up there at 8am and avoiding the revolving restaurant saved most of the price of the compressor 😄
