We've had decent very drinkable wine sold & decanted into plastic 5 litre containers from the Bodega at Mazarron as recommended by Jumartoo! ??The lady owner of one of our local bodegas in Spain told us that the wine is bottled up to their bottling limit and then the rest can be put into boxes. The same wine CAN be bought in bottles at her shop!
5 litres of very drinkable red wine is around €8
We usually buy just one wine bag (see below) and it often lasts us the whole holiday.

Totally disagree now that creosote is no longer legal for fences!!!In my extensive and intensive dedicated research over many years I have come to the conclusion that there is no such thing as a bad wine; it is just that some are better than others ........................
The only exception to that rule is Retsina, which is only fit for putting in engines ...........
Tend to disagree. We both have a (not very high) qualification in wine and regularly attend a wine club where we taste wines up to £75 a bottle (the most expensive on a special night was £400 a half bottle). The only thing that matters is whether you like it. Quite often the presenter will wax lyrical about a particular posh wine then ask what people think to get a reply of "thin and acidic!!!" or similar. Its a great club with 130 members and a regular attendance of 80 or so but there are few wine snobs and everyone feels free to just say what they think.Just a matter of being informed
In boxes? We've been pleasantly surprised at how good much of the cheaper wine is in France, Spain, and Portugal. This is going to sound like another of those conspiracy theories, but I'm convinced they send all of their crap to the UK

Definitely true Portuguese wine brought locally is superb & Spainish rose not tasted anything like outside of Spain. This is going to sound like another of those conspiracy theories, but I'm convinced they send all of their crap to the UK
Bottles, and bag-in-box. On many vineyards we have visited for tastings, their bag-in-box wine is exactly the same wine that goes into their bottles. In boxes?
How do you know if it’s out of a bag or not. Have delivered shipping containers with one massive big bag of wine in that they suck out and re bottle.Only the dregs sold in boxes!
This is the oneIf anyone is in carrafour at cite Europe looking for red wine , have a go at the corbieres at about 2 euros a bottle it is worth way more, if you don't like it ,what have you got to lose.
We bring about 60 bottles back every time we go , one a night till the next time
Following your recommendation for that a few months ago we have been regular purchasers. This is the one

I am at the moment enjoying a very nice glass of Pujo red from the Gascony area. It is a lovely wine and I buy plenty of boxes every time I visit there (10e 80 for 5 litres). IF not available I am happy to try other boxes of wine, and have very rarely found a dud. Lidl/Aldi is OK too. Dregs indeed! Ah well, we all have prejudices of some kind.Only the dregs sold in boxes!
Here's the proof, just ready for tea.Following your recommendation for that a few months ago we have been regular purchasers.
Very good everyday slurping.
Thanks chaser

Cheers mate, will have to look that one upHad a brew and a sandwich on the supermarket car park just outside Guines a few years ago, watching the world go by, and saw quite a few of the French, especially popular amongst older men, coming out with these. If it’s the weight of bottles you are saving I can recommend this .....
