Bluetooth Speaker Recommendation.

Proper hi fi sound, two speakers for true stereo. Will work with just one if you want to. Not cheap and it you want it battery run for off the mains you have to buy the battery pack separately (it integrates on the back of the main speaker) British too!

Yes, two speakers are great for sound reproduction.

The OP could look for speakers that have a L&R pairing feature.
It could put the price up though.
In addition to your recommendation, Sonos’ speakers have pairing for matching single speakers.

I just have my Avtex sound bar under the Tv and stream Bluetooth to that. You can hear it outside, without disturbing the neighbours.

As above, looking for recommendations for a Bluetooth speaker for the motorhome.
Will be used for playing radio and music from our iPhones/iPads.
Our Bose Soundlink that we have had for a number of years is really playing up charging.
Dont want anything large, the smaller the better. Good quality sound and USB chargeable.
Thanks
Graham
Mine ,
Went went the same ,
Go on Bose website & update the software , plug it in to the Computer with USB lead and it should fix it .
Mine would not play unless on permanent charge . Updated Software , now works on Battery , like it did before . Hope this Helps

We have a Marshall Stockwell II BT speaker in our van. Great sound quality, wide dynamic range even at low volume, battery lasts 20+ hours and is USB chargeable. Maybe not the cheapest speaker but worth every penny.

Another vote for Sony - got an XDR-V1BTD dab/fm radio for general use in the mhome and it's perfect, stunning bass and it'll take bluetooth input. Then got an SRS-XB13 little bt speaker, and again amazing bass from something so small, think it's supposed to be waterproof etc, looks a bit like the anker one pictured above; if you buy two you can do a stereo link (but why bother?). Could be prices and availability might be difficult in our wonderful world of chip and energy shortages though. I was going to get a hifi couple of weeks ago - between looking at it on Fri and deciding on the Mon it went up a hundred quid - waiting for black monday, see if there are any bargains...

Thanks. I am pretty sure mine is a problem with the actual charging connection. It will only charge when the speaker is in a certain position with pressure on the charging Jack plug.

We have got a Sony SRS-XB32 which we use for the Cello TV and general music, we're round the corner if you want to try it for a couple of days pm me

I have a pair of Soundcore Flare+ which are (as the kids say) absolutely banging. You even get a free light show should you desire it. They are so loud they drown out the thud of the whoosh bang.
I also have a pair of Soundcore mini 3's for terrifying wildlife when away from the van.

We have one of these Graham good sound and battery life.

Anker Soundcore 2 Portable Bluetooth Speaker with 12W Stereo Sound, BassUp, IPX7 Waterproof, 24-Hour Playtime, Wireless Stereo Pairing, Speaker for Home, Outdoors, Travel https://amzn.eu/d/9Hde46m
Another vote for the Anker Soundcore. My car radio reception where we live is rubbish and I stream music to the Soundcore from my phone.

Hi we have a Tribit, around £36 and it fits into the door pull recess of our motothome, which allows connection to our tablet sat nav so the driver can hear the sat navigation separate from the music. It has a good Bluetooth range for use in and outside the van for music.

Sony XDR-V20D DAB+ Radio with Stereo Speaker - Grey https://amzn.eu/d/9b41qMX

This unit is rechargeable so we use it on EHU or when we're off grid. Bluetooth to stream Amazon music. Works well for us.

We use an echo dot with a base battery pack, we are looking for something different though, maybe a fitted sound system that links to the TV as well.

Have you got an Aux input on your van stereo? I put a stick in mine & play music through it using my phone. Just a thought.

JBL Tuner, battery lasts ages. Mostly use it with the TV. It’s a bit pricey but also has a dab/fm radio.

Thankyou all. After much deliberation and research we have gone for. JBL Charge 5. Argos had it on special at the same price as the JBL Flip 6.
20 hour battery life. Very pleased with the sound of it and really unable to hear any difference from the Bose.

Given the price of Bose gear, I’d be minded to see if your current one can be repaired. Here is a link to ifixit manual. Has detailed guides to repair.
We have two bluetooth speakers: an old Cambridge Audio and a Bose Revolve 1. Both sound very good and if either started playing up, I’d look at a repair.

thanks for this link. i have often wondered why my bose will not switch on from battery without first plugging into usb

Every day is a school day - thanks

Bought this W-king one yesterday, the bass is fantastic, even at low volume the bass just comes out effortlessly. It's a bass reflex design. Only £104 on amazon 👌 usb powered and 24hr battery.

The problem i have with a lot of Bluetooth speakers like the above one is that it is 'ONE' speaker. Same goes for Bose soundlink, Sonos etc. You will all remember that in the 60's/70's they introduced 'STEREO'. Yes these speakers may have 2 speakers in them running in stereo but there is no separation so you do not get stereo.

I have these. Proper hi fi stereo in a bluetooth speaker (s)

You can buy another W-king and they link up in stereo.. Accordingly to the Amazon user reviews they are even more awesome 😝
Girlfriend just been in the bathroom and says she can feel the floor thumping to the beat (I just turn it up when a good song comes on) Glad the neighbours are at work ☺️

Bass is good within certain limits. I like an authentic high quality sound across the range. Beethoven tends not to benefit from 'thumping bass'.

(self confessed audiophile here  )

I thought the W-king would be good because I bought the small one for work earlier in the year and for it's size it's impressive. Battery lasts about 20 hours and it's only about £45 too.
