Best water filtration system for motorhome

gpat
I wouldn't trust any of the systems that are available to render it safe

How about water purifiers?

One example, for backpackers, the Grayl Geopress @£100 uses
Electroadsorption and ultra-powdered activated carbon
And claims to remove
  • Removes: waterborne pathogens (99.99% of viruses, 99.9999% of bacteria, 99.9% of protozoan cysts), including Rotavirus, Hepatitis A, Norovirus, Giardiasis, Cryptosporidium, E. Coli, Cholera, Salmonella, Dysentery and more.
  • Filters: particulates (i.e. silt, microplastics, etc.); ultra-powdered activated carbon effectively adsorbs chemicals (including PFAS & VOCs), pesticides, heavy metals, flavors, and odors.
Testing standards: independently tested by a certified laboratory to meet or exceed NSF/ANSI protocol 42 and 53 for pathogen and chemical removal; meets the the United States Environmental Protection Agency's Guide Standard and Protocol for testing microbiological water purifiers.
This looks as though it should be good enough for health.

Presumably filters using this technology can achieve similar results in motorhomes?

Obviously there are occasions and situations where you have no choice but to use something. Yes some places like out of the way places in Africa for example where using a press system is better than facing certain death by ingesting something terrible from a contaminated well. However the OP mentions Turkey and Morocco. They are not places like that and potable water will be available.

The one off systems will reduce the chance of illness but not guarantee it

If someone is going miles off grid and they have no source of water then they will need something good if they intend to drink from Lakes, rivers and streams. The point I am making is that does not really apply to the vast majority on here.
