If you have to ask what it means it's most likely a waste of money.They're often a form of private language I think.
If you have to ask what it means it probably wasn't intended for you.

No point having a vanity plate that no one knows it's a vanity plate.If you have to ask what it means it wasn't your money and your opinion doesn't count
Maybe it's not vanity, perhaps it has a special meaning for the owner, it's up to them whether they want one or not however where they are meant to be decipherable by others then they should be obvious, some are so obscure they're a waste of money.No point having a vanity plate that no one knows it's a vanity plate.
And an opinion always counts .. you might not agree with it but never the less it counts.

Ye dinnae half gibber sum pish"I don't know what it means so that guy wasted his money?"
Maybe he just wasn't talking to you in the first place. Clothing, jewellery and slang often does the same thing. I don't understand the words because I'm not the target.
My opinion on some random Greek word? Meaningless, counts for nothing. It doesn't somehow "count" just because I'm the guy with the opinion.
My opinions on the content of the latest teenage slang also count for exactly nothing, because I don't understand it. My opinions on what slang is and why it occurs may count for a bit more, as I can understand some of those arguments. But it would still count for a lot less than the opinion of the person who has actually made a study of it.
Scottish? Not meant for me then.Ye dinnae half gibber sum pish
Steve Parrish…local guy,motorbikes,trucks,commentator,….. had PEN 15 forquite a long time. Now I think he has an alternative name for the male appendage,but I’m not sure of the exact configuration.The two I really like and cannot verify either and one I've serious doubts about;

Back in the early 70's I worked in company located around the corner from Paul Raymond's Porn business HQ, his partner was also a star, Fiona Richmond. She drove an E Type Jaguar that carried the following plates, illegally it was alleged;
PEN 15
I think he could afford any fines!

I wanted to say a similar thing but Rule 1 kept popping up so I had to leave it to someone elseYe dinnae half gibber sum pish
Hey, well done for getting a name that actually matches your username!My name is Bob Nick, 2 of my reg's are BN, the BN on my number plates don't stand for Bob Nick they stand for Brilliant Negotiater in my head.
And to be honest i really don't give a monkeys what other people think about them.
It would be cheaper to change your name by deed poll to match your current number plate than to buy some of them.Hey, well done for getting a name that actually matches your username!
That would suit me, I’m always going from U.K. to Germany
Do they live in the town centre or the Edge?In our town we have a mini with U2 on dread to think what that’s worth
LolI used to work for Brooke Bond OXO, in the OXO cube factory at Great Harwood and our company pool car (a red Ford Mondeo estate I think) had OXO1 on it.
The production moved to Worksop so the plate might still be around that neck of the woods.
