Best private reg

My old 911 sporting the N911JMB initials plate Jan bought me for Christmas. The MH and the Porsche have gone, but the plate is now on my E220 cabriolet.

When I was a teenager Tim Dutton lived close by, made loads of money from Dutton kit cars, he had a RR Corniche convertible with 2 DUT, a Porsche 928 with TOO 510W and a Lamborghini Countach which I can remember, although i did see him try and do a U turn round a high curb and gouge the side of it, he flipped the gull wing door open, had a look and said "minor detail"

An Old Ford cortina in Chelmsford had DEL80Y

I have 3 private plates. Pretentious or what 😎
M11DWF. On my wife’s car. Retired midwife.
PH11L KE on my car.
F1LYP on retention. I’ve had many offers on this one. I’m waiting for a vain Footballer called Philip to come along 😎
A now deceased uncle of mine had JDM 1. JDM 2. And JDM 10. All his life he hankered after JDM 3.
His name was John Douglas Martin.

Last time we were in France we saw a uk car with the number plate PU 11AN . There was a fixing in black over the first 1so it read PUTAIN .. which is a rude word in French ( we learned it from watching Spiral 😄) We didn’t know if they knew…

Everything ar work has private plates on I've started playing with them do they mean something thinks like on a lorry that carries 6 cars it GK06 CAR and ghe new 1 on order is GK15 FUN the company is G&K Logistics
When I was a mechanic we used to service a pink Jag and a pink Capri both owned by the same company and they were DUT 1 and 1 DUT the best 1 I've seen was a concrete mixer on the M25 OO08 POO it still makes me chuckle when I think about it

My Malibu 600 DBK was on order for so long, I bought this for it while I was waiting. Cost £150, but didn't have to pay 1st reg fee as it was ready to go, so van has never had another number (new Aug 2024).

Our local Chinese takeaway owner had a registration 18 CAT after rumours of him having cats in his freezer!
We also had a local butcher with a registration MU10

I still have on retention 0006 RSN (i've been meaning to put it on our Caddy for the last 5 years)
We let go recently 0006 SAN both our intials.

Thirty years of my cars and registration right here, I blew an entire annual bonus on creating this registration back then. The Freelander is still going strong today.

The ‘RR’ is actually for my initials as well as for ‘Range Rover’… and of course over the years my cheeky friends have alluded to ‘Robin Reliant’… usually before ‘Rolls Royce..’ :giggle:
