The 250Kg garage upgrade on Knaus motorhomes is a factory option at build. Not sure it can be retro-fitted. We had ours upgraded when we ordered it. It's a whole new rear subframe and leaf springs I believe.Might be worth checking as some come out the factory with garage allowance of 250kg
I don't think ours had any factory upgrades, just the standard Ti things like Oyster satellite, awning etc but obviously not sure as it wasn't new to us. It was Mick Parkinson of Freckleton Lancs. He has done a excellent job, and it is very sturdy. I had this rack made and it can be removed and to make use of the towball which he also fitted. Highly recommended.Which company manufactured your carrier, or is a home brew?

Sawiko, are probably the best people to ask. [Google Sawiko products.] . I'd imagine it would either be a dedicated floor support system, or achieved by using a tow bar kit that passes under the garage floor in the same manner.Can it really? Shouldn't be but you need to get the van rear axle weighed with all your clobber on board and see how much spare capacity there is. You then need to see if there is enough spare for the weight of bike and any support frame +20% to work out the final rear axle total weight which will be the limiting factorOK thanks, Not too sure on this , i`m old with a C1 licence so, if I go over 3500 kg , is that a problem...
As ChrisL suggested, you could use the Fiamma Carry Moto with a couple of wooden blocks underneath. We carry a Honda SHMode 125 which has a wet weight of 118kg in the garage of our Burstner LyseoTD680G. The garage has a maximum weight limit of 150kg only so we have to limit the amount of other stuff we carry in there. The Carry Moto weighs 12kg and with two comfy fishing chairs and assorted shackles for the scooter we are right on the limit. To carry more stuff we simply use a giant 177lt storage box (Argos) which gets strapped down on one of our two opposing bench seats in loung. This way we can still use the table en-route. Once at sight the bike comes out and the storage box goes into the garage. I also use retractable ratchets for the bike and loop a piece of rope around each handle so I can keep the front wheel from lifting up the side of the Moto Carry and dropping over the edge when pulling it back to remove from garage. I found that out the hard way .There is a Rapido 9096 DF for sale near me.

That's definitely something to be aware of. I have to remove the mirrors on the Scooter to get it through (only takes a minute) but you also need to be aware of the handlebar width as well. I had to move the internal light up a good six inches on our garage wall as it sat sticking out right where the handlebar sits when the Scooter is at the point of entry; even then I have to jiggle the handlebar around to get the bike in. Looking at the garage in the photo it seems to have quite a deep step down from the door seal so you would definitely have to set the Moto Carry on wooden blocks to ensure the ramp doesn't interfere with the door seal when connected to the rack itself. On top of that you have to hope the rack fixing locations holes don't sit over any under garage support beams. All in all, I would steer away from a Moto Carry if I had the garage in the photo and stick with a separate fold up ramp and a front wheel chock.If you put a mounted rail in there you’re probably drastically reducing the interior garage height.
Maybe not, who knows without actually being at the van and measuring it carefully.

Have you got the m/c or is this just an idea?
You need to match the size of the m/c to the garage size, both internally and the garage door size and if it is a heavy one which needs a ramp to load it you need to allow a bit extra on the door height for when the handlebars/mirrors are at top of ramp(some can be detached/bent down)
Then you need to go into each specification to find out what fits the m/c you have or want to buy. Allow quite a few 10s of hours to do this.
Do not choose the MH just on this criteria, there are lots of other considerations.

There are a few trailers with castoring wheels which allow easy reversing, probably the best of those are Yo Remourqes but there are others, they can be a bit expensive though.I don`t want to tow a trailer, i`d be worried of meeting someone in a lane that won`t reverse.
Well I'm guessing the idea of a 125cc might be demoralising if you're used to a bigger bike. I'm the opposite. I'd never even thought of getting a bike licence until we purchased a motorhome and suddenly realised the problem of getting into towns, cities etc. Personally, I love my Scooter. Yes it's only 125cc, but it's a quality bike (Honda), I love the twist and go and it carries both of us adequately. I did have to get semi-air fitted to the back to upgrade to 4000kg but know we have the flexibility to get anywhere we want to.....unless it's raining. My partner draws the line at going on the Scooter in the wet.I am going around in circles trying to find the best way .

The bike i use now will never fit , a Honda ST1300 so i will buy one for the job to fit.
I looked at a lot of for sale ads /Roller Team sport seemed a good bet .
Even a Rapido 9096 , i checked the garage weight and i can only go for a 125 scooter
Even then ,on Fiat chassis the limits are still there unless i go for a Mercedes chassis .
A C1 licence i have so i will probably have to go the the A class route, i prefer the look of them anyway.
The idea is for myself to travel Europe , park up and ride locally on a bike , having rode bikes through France for years from the UK and staying in hotels is wearing thin.
Hours of motorway travel on a bike is a little monotonous just to really get to where i want to go.
So, mainly myself , and the odd weekend away with the Mrs + teens if they want to go.
The dream of cruising along to a Aire or village ,park up , lock up , and go off locally all day on a bike to return back to my own pad later in the day.

What are the best makes to search to find a motorhome that has a garage store at the rear to transport a motorbike when touring
I looked at these recently but even though I think it would fit in, the weight was a bit too close to my 150kg limit for me to take the plunge. I went on to buy a Moto Guzzi V7 and will just accept I have to get a trailer if I want to take it away with us. Those Fantics look great fun.Carthago 141le (6.7m)
We have Fantic 500 scrambler (450cc) and fits perfectly. Dry weight is 136kg so added rear airbags.
Great bike as small enough to get in van but large enough for 2 adults
After using KTM 400 exc's (that I really loved) many years off roading the Fantic scrambler is not bad for a bit of 'rugged exploring' ...my wife just closes her eyes!
Ps. You can get a nifty 'in situ' piston type rear disc lock for it that's great for quick outside french café stops etc
