Beautiful Mercedes Autotrail ruined, words fail me

Fair point but, I am actually in the market for one of these rare motorhomes, the Mercedes version is as rare as hens teeth.
The owners ARE trying to sell it now, hence the ADVERT. One mans meat.

Fair play to the owners, I'm sure in their eyes it looks lovely but, people in supermarkets walk past ugly fruit & pick the nice pears, not the bruised ones, its human nature.

These are rare, I passed an immaculate one on the A1m last week.

Perhaps it's the Portsmouth team bus. They've gone up in the world, they usually use a skip lorry. Also Saints fan(y)
Yes I know you are ! Ex

Having just looked at the Autotrail Cheyenne brochure for 2007, this interior looks miles better. Was that really a 2007 and not a 1977 interior design they put in? Argh!

And, actually, why do people not put more pictures up in their vans? The frames used here are a little thick, but the principle is sound.

Maybe one day we'll all have painted worktops & realise that these DIY fiends were visionaries. (but I doubt it)

I'd take that over pink upholstery and carpets anyday

But it's an autotrail so I wouldn't have considered it in the first place....wouldn't have even looked at the pics

What saddens me most is that the van is registered 2007 and has only covered 28598 miles divided by 12 years = only 2383 miles a year, what a waste of money.
So often I see SH vans up for sale with extremely low mileages, mostly 1/2/3 year old ones and think to myself...did you actually use it?, or was the van back at the dealership awaiting repairs during that time.
A fellow funster said to me on one occasion if you are not doing 9K a year in any van then you are wasting your money!
I dont know, horses for courses and all that, but I think he has a point.

I agree I only bought Toby last October and I've done 11000 miles already, done 18000 in the Frankia last year

I guess folk buy them to go park on camp sites 4 weeks a year and leave them in the drive the rest of the time
Better with a caravan

Oh! to be ABLE, to do 11K miles annually. Between Hospital Appointments and other (mainly medical) commitments, 2019 is already gone. The `van got off the drive to go to Aldi and Morrisons for the first time last Wed, since 2nd week of June,. And that was because I cannot bear to see it unused and of course it does it no good not to be operated. SWMBO will not be full "load bearing" before end of Sept, at which point she may be able to access the van and we may get a late break!. As it is there is no way she can get in, and more importantly out of either of the doors, without a fork lift!, even the ramp we have is too wide for the doorway and too short! making it far too steep to climb on crutches. ? ? ? I even looked at a "leisure-lift" but at £1400+ at VAT exempt rate????. And of course how do you carry it?.

I'm rarely stuck for words but this Merc popped up on Gumtree.
Some DIY fiend has butchered the interior to such a tune that I doubt if it could be rescued?

Everyone to their own I say, you’d probably cut your wrists if you saw mine, but it suits me.

Now I wish the advert was still there so I could see it for myself!

I don't know why the original link didn't work, but I have to agree with many of the others who've commented. Without knowing anything about this MoHo as it would have been originally, it looks fine to me.
