Morning. Thank you for all your comments.

We bought a Weber Q1200 with the stand. yesterday. It was on special offer in Squires garden centre.

it’s assembled and packed into the MH garage ready for the off today. Weather looks good for BBQ ing so looking forward to time away.
Thanks again
Happy bbqueing you made the right purchase, get a griddle plate for oneside of it , you can griddle a mean breakfast on it ,

The Travel Trolls are at the moment pushing them to the hilt on YouTube, must be getting a bung I would think.
Not seen them wash it yet
They got nearly every type of cooking surfac that's available for the cadac, with that and other freebies they get the motorhome must be overweight only seen one video of them , couldn't watch anymore of them .

We have a o-grill 900t, its not put a foot wrong in 3 years. I usally cook whole fish on it but I've done a full chicken in it plus usual bbq meats.
Its looking a little battered and I wish I had bought the legs for it. Available in Spain so when we get back into mainland Europe View attachment 488586View attachment 488587View attachment 488588 I will get it some legs.
I have an O Grill and it’s absolutely spot on.
Had a Cadac for years but find this to be better. I have the table for it too.

This is our breakfast - sausages, bacon tomatoes, mushrooms, black pudding and beans. Eggs cooked later.
The Weber Q1200 was definitely a good buy. Thanks again for your comments.

Camping in the Forest, for their New Forest sites make the following statement on their web pages:
Any barbeques used on our sites should be specifically designed and used only for the purpose of cooking food (i.e not firepits). They should be robust, secure and able to be raised off of the forest floor, there should no damage or marks left on the ground where they have been used. In support of the New Forest Action Plan we are asking campers not to bring disposable barbeques for their stay. We are also reminding campers that outside of our sites no barbeques of any kind are now allowed anywhere in the New Forest.

We’ve always used a smaller diameter ‘higher output’ paella burner with a griddle on it, great for steak and eggs! Also doubles up for a fantastic paella as well...Adjustable and you can really get it hot if you want to go the full hog.

At least with gas there is very little chance of fire risk compared to charcoal or open fire.
I had to call the fire brigade the other day a spark or ember from the fire pit at work set fire to the leaf litter in the woods behind.
Luckily it was discovered before it got out of hand.
