I have an 2013 Eldiss Majestic 155 motorhome. Just recently the alarm is triggering after a few minutes of setting the alarm. Have previously checked and replaced the bonnet switch. If I disable the internal sensors, via the keyfob, the alarm does not go off. I have replaced the batteries in the habition area PIR and that has not sorted it.
Any other suggestions?

Does it do it if you lock the doors by the button on the dash? As the PIR's should be disabled.

Do you have wireless contacts on any of your external locker doors or hab door?

Our issue (different alarm) was a window sensor/switch, we took batteries out of each sensor till we found the culprit. The switch was fine but the fitting needed repositioning.

There aren't any other obvious sensors apart from the PIR, which I don't think is active (but I've replaced batteries), and the two sensors in the cab area (and I've cleaned them). As there is not a problem if the internal sensors are deactivated then I assume it's a problem with that part of the system.

I had a similar problem it turned out to be the glass cracked on a reed switch on one of the door sensors. A couple of quid on eBay for 3 reed switches and soldered a new one in.

I have a 2014 motorhome with an auto watch 695 fitted. had a very similar problem, turned out the door sensor battery was low and the battery was soldered in so could not be replaced , had to get a new modern door sensor fitted which has a battery in which can be replaced when the time comes.the battery was a cr2032 but it was spot welded in place I tried to free it and fit a new one myself but the contacts bent and wouldn't keep contact with the new battery so that's why I had a new one fitted where you just slide the battery out to change it .it was a wireless sensor

mikel3561, if you have an alarm sensor near the bottom of the frame of your hab door that looks something like this, then they are normally the cause of the 695 alarm problems as the reed switch contacts sticking together, but the hab door contact should be on the external sensor alarm circuit.

Yes it looks like the internal PIR sensors are the fault. You could try calling Autowatch 01732 886 777 to get advice. I thought the beeps/lindicator ight flashes gave an indication of where the problem is but I can't find any referance on the internet.

What year was the sensor made?
We have had Autowatch alarms on all our vans since 2008, never seen a battery soldered in.

its a 2014 van and we have had it from 2016 the battery was like spot welded in 2 places both top and bottom , I slid a blade under them to pop the welds off but the contacts would never sit right on the new battery because of the strain of pulling them off.dont know what year the sensor was made

I fitted these wireless contacts to our external lockers, and ours have replaceable CR2032 coin cells.

I didn't know the sensors had batteries I assumed it was all hard wired. How long do the batteries normally last?

We get two years plus out of ours, and it only takes a couple of minutes to change the batteries when needed.
Spend more time trying to get the sodding battery out of the packaging these days. :ROFLMAO:

3 to 5 years.
Last van I replaced the batteries at 4 years with Duracells, alarm kept going off. The new Duracells were reading 2.9 to 3v off load. Replaced them with cheap ones from Amazon checked them before fitting all 3.3v never had any more problems.

I'd better have a butchers at mine as they have never been changed and 10 years old.
