Rally [Aug 6, 2015] Bristol Balloon Fiesta Funster Rally. (Brsitol)

No 5 for you, then........:sneaky:

PLEASE, Mr Trikeman SIR, Wombles can go on No 5, he's coming LATE........:)
Thursday isn't LATE :p - see page 1 rally starts on Thursday 6th!
We like the back row against the hedge anyway as we are shy, quiet Wombles
Not sure about pitch 5 though as might be next to a caravan or even worse ... a tent
If there is a spare pitch then could pitch 5 be our gathering space in the sunshine & we might convert a few of the other campers to Fun?! ;)

Mr Knee, that is an extremely personal question and one that I won't be replying to :cry::cry:
Think they call them 'childbearing'
One of my customers remarked on my slightly larger than large tummy, she said ' if that big belly was on a woman she would be nine months pregnant' I said it has been and she is! :D

Seriousness for just a few seconds - if at all possible.:mask:

Been thinking this afternoon - how the HELL are we going to 'select' where we park up in the allotted pitches, and more-so (it appears) next to who????:Eeek:

We could say who turns up parks up where they wish, however with vans of different proportions that could be hideous. Though we are not in a mad rush to sort this, Terry :notworthy2: and I are hoping to get up to the site shortly and work out how we can do this with the best ideas from Terry :notworthy2: and I, including your thoughts. We will try to get some real ground between the top two ranks so there is a bit of communal area and the first thing that pops out is perhaps the longer vans go on the 05-66 pitches - but we will try to visualise this on the visit. There was one suggestion of 'raffle' numbers to sort where we go - I really don't want to get into 'I would rather be there or by whoever' when we are there - much rather sort out beforehand,,,,,,, at least we would 'look' a little professional when we turn up knowing where we are pitching up. Terry hopes to have a few 'heavies' stopping anyone trying to bust into our reserved pitches - you know what some tuggers are like.:moon2:
Suggestions???????:clap2:

Regards,

Trikeman.

Well, my MH is 7 mtrs and i will park any place ( within the fun area) you like and as we don't know anybody........we will park next to whoever you like..........:)(y)

Thankfully, we have 'Terry :notworthy2: exemption' as far as size goes, a sort of insider dealing. However, I believe we will have to take size v where we park into consideration - I too don't mind who we park next to, bit like a blind date here..... We are 7.4m.

Regards,

Trikeman.

6.5m with bike rack:D
Suggestion - figure out spaces that will take large motorhomes then names in hat for each pitch then same again for smaller ones. No arguments then & should be fun if down to chance. Is now the right time to give names as well as motorhome sizes? :imoutahere:

Is there a major problem with people just turning up and finding a pitch T. I only know people I'd like to be next to and can't see anyone on the list who I wouldn't like to be next to quite honestly. ;)(Being next to the Wimbledon Wanderer would be a major bonus though as she'd have her 'people' cleaning our pitch silently overnight!):D

Trikeman, we don't mind who we park next to or where we park on the pitch.

Why don't you just keep it simple and park people as they arrive with the exception of those who will be leaving on Sunday? Just put them on a row where they can leave with minimum fuss to everyone.

In terms of van size vs pitch size surely that will equal out anyway.

Hi BB,
no not really just wanted to get some organisation for the bigger vans and as some are not there for the whole time it would then be a matter of knowing where we could reserve pitches for their arrival and are they bigger or smaller vans,,,,,,, and do they snore.
Anyway, if all else fails we can go to 'park anywhere' within the Funster area.

Regards,

Trikeman. (y)

Hi Mousy,
I don't mind this idea at all, we could start at the back and make our way forward as people turn up, some wont be there on the Thursday evening and some will be leaving on the Sunday, but that shouldn't be too onerous to sort.

Were on the arriving Thur and leaving Sunday list if that helps Terry.(y)
We need to get back to work on Monday to keep the old codgers pensions coming

Just turning up sounds fine in our happy world of virtual Fun but in real life in our experience it means there has to be someone available on site all the time to direct arrivals especially if some have gone out for the day as otherwise they could come back to find someone else on "their" pitch or in the "wrong" place :( Sounds like a lot of work at the rally whereas randomly allocating a numbered pitch (taking size & access requirements into account) then everyone knows where to go. At worst could leave a list on a sign so anyone arriving can check their number in case they have forgotten. Pitches do need to be numbered though to make this work so that might cause problems?
Like the idea of everything being free & easy but think that could be problematical. Love to be proved wrong though:)
