Attitude pre deal v Attitude post deal.

I must commend two VW Van centre sales persons from past purchases...

First from a now defunct VW Van Centre in Shrewsbury where the salesman was so attentive to our order that he requested us to visit and double check that the order was correct before it was submitted to the factory. On delivery he insisted on a personal hand-over ensuring that we understood the vehicle that we were taking away plus putting some additional fuel in the tank! And I did have his arm up his back on the price!

Second was a similar deal on a dealer stock vehicle at the VW Van Centre at Worcester six years ago where the sales man still remembers us even though for our last purchase we turned him down because he couldn't match the price of his competitor.

I'll pass on commenting on the MAN dealer's sales person until the current supply problems pan out! Our MAN TGE was ordered in August 2021 and will be delivered sometime ?????

Why would they worry about repeat buisness, what is the average age of the customers and life expectancy of them. Most will be dead before they need another one
Blimey, that’s strong

Drive them mad with continuous phone calls and emails. This is my method and I am relentless until I get answers. It’s even harder with foreign dealers believe me. 😬👍

And when they stop answering your phone calls and emails? 🤔 ;)

Happened to me and I was being nice. 🤷‍♂️

Has never happened. I start off with pleasantries but, when things start getting a bit silent their side, that’s when I change. At the end of the day it was there choice to go a bit silent on me. If it come to the point where they stopped corresponding completely, then a visit to their work place would be in order to get things moving again. 😉

3 hours away…….which they obviously used to their advantage. However, life’s too short, so I put it down to experience and have done most the jobs myself. 🤷‍♂️

I’ve got one outstanding job to be done, which another Dealer (more local) as agreed to do. (y)

A good result then for you. 👍

We bought from Brownhills. I was initially cynical about any salesman but Dave, the person who dealt with our sale was great before, during and after the sale. He spent time with us before the sale as expected but, to my surprise, just before I signed on the dotted line, he asked what extra deal I would like. At the time, being naive, I hadn’t thought to haggle, especially as we were very happy with £10,000 off the price of a new motorhome for a 6 month old one with 1,500 miles on the clock. I asked for £1,000 off but he suggested one year free insurance, diamond bright, and a life time tracker. I agreed and haven’t regretted it. We had a few post sales problems, nothing serious, and he was happy to help. The only problem that persisted was an admin issue relating to the warranty, which he couldn’t help with.
He still occasionally contacts me: I am sure he does this in case we want to buy another motorhome, but is still feels good.

You have a therapist large portable bill board with beds. Part as near the gates as possible with a sign on the side listing all the faults bit naughty but very entertaining printed matching hand outs to all who enter and maybe a call to local press about a geriatric protesting always good for a human interest story at the end of the local news .then a drive past by all your MH friends toots and when of support,
