Arrival time for Eden Camp Meet

Hi all,

All funsters coming to Eden Camp please note that we (marshalls) have been asked not arrive before lunchtime so will you not arrive before 1.00pm on Friday. If you will be arriving after 5.00pm please let us know as the gates to the site are locked when the staff leave so the gate will have to be manned by us. :thanks: xx

booked the whole week off work to get everything ready and a wash and polish and was appearing first thing Friday morning.

Oh well...bit of a lay-in then :thumb:

Tony and I had made very precise plans to arrive 12.58 can an exception be made in our case please

Hi Geo

Just had a look at long range weather forcast so due to a strong head wind we estimate your time of arrival being 1.03 pm any arrivals before 12.30 pm will be brought before the camp commandant and put on bread & water rations instead of bacon butties.

We do appreciate that some are working (as would Mick normally) but he is taking a holiday day, so arrivals after 5.00 is not a problem.

There will be FUN signs directing you but you go through the green gates and bear left the sign says caravans towards the coach park.

Mick says he hopes so as he does not want to look a complete idiot on his own - seriously I understand that some peeps are getting into the swing of the 1940s, but nobody is forced to dress up but please feel free to do so if you wish. Hopefully we will try and make it a good if not memorable one.

wont be much of a war then !!!!!.....if I'm correct, it was an Italian POW camp.

If we are dressing 1940's WW2 style Sheila , will it be for on the Saturday evening in the club house ?

Hi Ralph & Bev,

I am planning that anyone who wishes to dress up in WW2 gear would do so for the saturday evening socialising in Hut 12, which hopefully should make for great pictures showing the Funsters having FUN.
Funsters can stay at the museum until 5.00 pm on Sunday which is when the facility
closes, so those arriving later on Friday can still enjoy the museum for 2 days.
