Are we going to have to pay more for ferry crossings?

MY KIND, what do you mean? I was only saying the demand for the tunnel will rise due to the ferry companies putting up their prices and as we all know market forces will prevail like or not, oh and just to inform you I am not a whinger of any description.
Again (it’s not difficult) did you look at my September booking ( I’m getting fed up of asking this) as the difference a whole £4. Now if moaning about £4 isn’t whinging then I don’t know what is.

I am leaving this post now as there is point in carrying it on with people of your kind.

Cheapest I can find is £88 outward for 1 adult - what are you inputting?
Just seen your reply lovely. I’ve just looked again and it’s 65.50 each way. 2adults in small moho. 11pm ferry seems cheapest, 4 hour crossing with no cabin. 20th august out and return 27th, but don’t think the return dates would effect the cost much 😊

I have rarely paid more than £44 one way Dunkirk to Dover + flexi if used at £20 .
The cheapest now & has been since start of 2021 is £98 + £60 for adding flexi, so £158 against £64. Just looked & it will be far cheaper using dieppe-newhaven a longer crossingfor the dog but 1/3rd of the dunkirk price.

That will also rise due to demand because a lot of people won't pay the higher ferry cost.
It has already risen an exhorbitant amount even though they have few customers & are running at 25% of normal mostly. But they won't hesitate to increase prices further even though they still aren't running 5 trains per hour in each direction.
What you can more or less guarantee is going to happen is that as soon as demand increases greatly the trains will start breaking down due to the lack of maintenace & renewal as they are still in the same position, if not worse, that they were in 20 + years ago & basically potless & bankrupt. They only paid a 'divi' to shareholders for the first time shortly before covid by scamming the shareholders in another " 10 for 1" share reduction scheme.
It should only ever have been owned 50/50 Britain & France as a nationalised operation.
In the real world it’s around the same price.
Let’s hope real people take absolutely no notice of you and your kind.
As above prices for vehicles have increased greatly whereas mbikes & cycles take up far less room & are just bonus money to them.

Be careful when booking the Le tunnel on line as the slider for choosing destination can slip over reversing your direction on travel. Amending it will cost you dearly.
