What's going on FUNsters ?

There is Stratford and there is Chester, two of the most iconic meets of the year. Both on an important river. Both with stunning ancient cities within walking distance. Stratford may have a famous name with a house there but the old city of Chester with covered shopping walkways is more like Italy then England.

Chester is the one WITHOUT pesky MH traders trying to sell you things you don't need. Instead all manner of exotic foods and a little drink that you won't get at any other meet. We stock up exotic meats.

No other meet has a Ghost Walk with guaranteed Ghosts.

No other meet has boat trips on a major river used by the Romans.

Brian, don't forget the Sam Smiths pub up the wooden staircase, above the shops, and just past the Eastgate Clock, which dispenses a tasty pint at a very reasonable price.

Of course we will! We have a lot of catching up to do! We are in Portugal and have been here in Messines since 13 December! I am flying back to Newcastle and onwards to the Borders tomorrow before a whistlestop tour of England on ALSO and WFTA business and flying back to Faro on the 17th. Coming back to the UK at the end of March for this Chester meet.

It will be great to catch up Kath. We're planning a trip to Portugal in the autumn so we can get ideas from you.

The Marquee is getting nearer another half dozen and we should be there. Don't forget if you have bikes the Racecourse is right by two excellent cycle paths, one along the river into Wales and the other along the canal as well as various other routes.

I am of organising a evening Walk will look what is going on. if anyone is interested in this please let me know it usually works out about £5 a head. Check out Alexandra's Jazz bar out in Rufus Court, different things going on and excellent Sunday Lunch and Afternoons entertainment.

The Cathedral is well worth a visit and only a short walk away from the site. We are a minute from walks along the river bank.

Then of course there is the Food Festival which we have free access in with our ticket price.

Any questions about the Rally please ask and I will do my best to get you an answer.

Oh and the Grosvenor shopping centre is nearly refurbished and hopefully will be finished by Easter.

Forgot to add that any one who needs to can stay over until Tuesday 11am though the site toilets etc could be shut on Sunday at the end of the show.
