Sunset this evening.

We've even got "Glampers" pitched with us, and very plush their tent looks inside too. (y)

The "sludge gulper" has arrived to unblock the Elsan point.

A little reminder from 2012.............enjoy the sun... Griff

The Peterborough show, must have cost lots of dough,

But the Funsters will enjoy it, No Matter,

I said to the wife, "Getting out will be Strife"

Then along came a guy with a Tractor.

Over he came across the floodplain.

My rig had sunk into a pit

Only one way to get the chain on

Then he led down like a pig in some sh*t.

The chain was attached and the tractor was backed,

Then he pulled forward and took up the strain

I said a quick prayer “Oh God, get me there.”

Then heard the noise of the strain on the chain.

I gave her some revs and we started to move,

Hands sweating, mouth making saliva,

We got to hard ground and the driver climbed down

Twas then that I gave him the fiver.

We climbed aboard, confidence restored

And made our escape from the “Fun”

I vowed never again would I go through such pain

Next time we will head for the Sun.

I'm home, that's it, had enough, I may join the Rapido Owners club, better class of rifraff than what I saw in Peterborough, farting, snoring and belching is not an Olympic sport.

The tin hat was Jim coming round with canapé's in the shape Of Martin Johnson's todgger, that was it, I am happy to suffer power failure, cold wind, English Beer and the odd mindless thug from Laaandonnn init, with Eau de Cologne of Jellied eels and Chicken Tikka, but you can only push me so far.

Anyhow, I am back in some form of civilization.

Can't believe it's nearly 10.45pm and someone has started a generator.
Maybe worth them buying new batteries.
You jest surely?

Go and speak to them. Maybe they aren't aware of the noise it's making.

live and let live is the moral of today :sneaky:

i dont think 10.45
is a unreasonable time for a genny to roar

Thanks all for a great weekend. Sorry I had to shoot off this morning without saying bye , we had a minor doggy incident that meant we had to miss out on the bacon rolls this morning.

Saw Jim Davidson last night. Very good and the fun steer tent was in full swing as we walked back just after 11

Many thanks to organisers, marshalls, singers (?), candlestick-makers and all.
Another very enjoyable weekend, see you at Newbury.

If as in 22.45hrs, then i think it's an unreasonable time, as some (obviously not all) could be in bed asleep. :(

Regards,

Jock.

Thanks to all helpers and friends for an enjoyable weekend, despite the chilly weather.

It was 22.45, obviously the perpetrator didn't think it Un reasonable.

Not joking. The same Gennys was running at 8.00 Saturday morning
Maybe you should look in on the other generator thread that's running....you'll see who it was running the genny!
