Ants

I could’ve picked several but from
Might be worth asking at reception to see if they have any strong ant killer that you could use around the van.

spraying with dettox type stuff seems to stifle them so thats the plan of attack.
Why are you using chemicals outside the motorhome where aiming to just leave footprints would be the aim? 🤔
You’ve rocked up in to the ants’ environment.
Have the ants found your food or just milling about?

Moving the van forward or back a metre is likely to get you off their patch 🤪👍

We had that problem in Lisbon in the RV, you need to find where they are getting in, ours were coming up one of the jack legs, as these have a dish at the bottom to spread the load I squirted a little oil in the dish and that stopped them.

Thanks i will try elsewhere for help.
The comment about Washing up liquid is correct as long as it has Borax which is used to make soap, I am sure there are other substances that may deter the Ants but Soap is a good one.

Edited to say Borax is used in some well known ant killer products. So go for Soap

Thanks we seem to have them under control though not sure what the cure was . Spraying with dettox, some insect spray i got from camp shop or maybe the rain we have had all day sent them packing. If it dries up will see if they return.

we returned to our house in spain after it being empty for 8 months. The longest time ever.

Over run !

Luckily, not in the house.

But we spent 4 weeks there in June trying to get rid of around 3 different species

Returned a couple of weeks ago, we still have issues.

They seem to like Lemon and Limequat trees!

Cinnamon (powder or sticks) deters them
