Another bad news thread for LPG

It will certainly hit us, we have a Ford F150 petrol/gas conversion, with an 85 litre LPG tank, pulling an American 5thwheel Jayco trailer. We did not go anywhere last 2 years because of the pandemic, & me being classed as 'vulnerable' so we were looking forward to getting out this year, but apparently not, due to shortages of all fuel. Still i guess we will have a lovely, comfortable, 1 bed, garden ornament parked up in the garden. Maybe we can rent it out as holiday accommodation? Norfolk appears to be on holidaymakers hit list of places they want to be?
The bit about shortages of all fuel does not seem to apply down here in Sussex, I had no problem getting petrol or diesel this week. Filllpg and Autogas both show LPG available in Norfolk at RPI Engineering NR10 3EE, both were updated on the 11/04/2022. The situation might have changed since Monday but you could call them on 01603 891209.

WildAx, [my van they supplied with an underslung tank] now offer a "Volt Pack" as an option
No Gas
More solar, lithium, compressor fridge, induction hob, and diesel heating.
Not cheap but perhaps an indication of the way things are heading.
Anyone with any experience of the Volt pack touring in the UK ?

Good point but just wondered how practical the Wildax solution actually is in real world use ?
Given the rapid change in battery prices at the moment even if it works well id probably go for gas at the moment then swap later. I suspect that at the moment with totally electric systems we're where solar panels were when a ,50w was considered posh

I am keeping my options open at the moment.
I have 2 11kg gasit bottlrs fitted to external filler. Both full at the moment.
But have been considering changing one of them for a calor when 1 goes empty.

The price difference is significant though.
But, we are likely to use more cls without ehu as prices of those with ehu jump up. So the gas for the fridge freezer will be a bit more important to us.
I was using solar since the days when 20W cost me £200 and rarely use ehu prefer cheapest CS sites. Now 550W.
I got my rapido in 2018 and added a Gaslow 11kg to a 6kg Calor fitted when bought. I have generaly used the refilable except when using up old 7kg Butane bottles. Then I tried some thing radical and fitted a full 15kg Butane (just hanging around), was surprised it fitted so earlier this year fitted a 13kgPropane as backup. Was a period when i couldnt fillup, no gas locally and i keep forgeting to look on the move. Ended up using 1/2 the calor before fill at 4x4 at Pembroke dock, the again at Camarthern on way home. Local is now back in stock £1.25 a litre! Times are a changing Battery prices coming down next year may get another LiPo4 and an induction hob for backup/options (keep gas for fridge) but, WIldax Volt Having a giraffe.

Every time I fill up the refillable gas I guarantee I’ll be throwing over £70.00 minimums worth of diesel in as well👍
Update…. It will now be £140 worth of diesel😤😤😤😤
