Pulled into the services on M1 Northbound for a leg stretch and a coffee, when a coach drive slid under the rear of the coach, stretched his arm up and wiggled at something that I now know was the black waste dump.

Well done that man, as he wore most of it down his arm, over his shirt and trousers and his shoes.

We moved tootsweet before someone blamed it on us, but 10 mins later, he appeared from the gents, with a brown stained white shirt and trousers.

Just a guess,perhaps he had told passengers not to use the toilet (full) and the ignored it,overflowing in the Coach and had no option,not good.

I’m sure he would have found somewhere quieter than a motorway services if he was intentionally going to dump the black, certain services have dump points for coaches so I believe.
Not sure why the traffic commissioner would need to know, he’s on private land and hasn’t broken any traffic laws

He hadn’t opened and driven away dumping, for all we know he had contacted the site management to get it cleared up

Testing my eyesight there, protecting the environment Will more likely be the vehicle is to the current regs when tested MOT not leaking oil, emissions etc but also nothing is being deposited from a trailer that can harm the environment, a few turds in a car Park, possibly accidental is still not, in my opinion for the traffic commissioner, but nothing any worse of what happens in a truck park at night time or any lay-by come to think of it

In Poland 50% of M/Way service areas have dump grilles for bus toilet waste.

The Traffic Commissioner will also be interested as it could have implications on the company’s operator’s licence, particularly as this ‘may’ be a regular occurrence rather than using a proper waste dump facility.

Such activity is not acceptable, it is quite likely the driver wanted to dump as the toilet was full, but either way the Environment Agency would want to monitor such complaints and take action against offending companies, as they did on a coach company who were illegally dumping into a stream near heathrow.

Shame the environment agency don’t monitor what goes in the rivers, oh they do! And grant licenses to dump in the rivers and the sea.

I agree it’s possibly not the best place to try and sort a blockage (if that’s what it is) but we don’t know the circumstances, I’m sure the driver wouldn’t have chosen to get himself covered in other peoples turd spray, so maybe someone who wants to really find out can send all the evidence to his company then tell the traffic commissioner and really make his day. To be honest I’ve seen a lot worse in some lay-bys

Don't care what the reasons were ..if he reached up and opened a valve then he knew he was dumping it and he could therfore have picked a better place . He could have sorted out some sort of container to catch it in or whatever . But dumping it on a service area isn't right.

I sincerely hope he at least informed someone in the services so it could be cleaned up rather than just leaving.

Agree, OP said he slid under, stretched his arm up, sounds deliberate to me, more likely overfilled and some coming up the toilet inside the coach.

If it hadn’t been seen it would definitely have been blamed on motorhomes like a lot of other stuff is.
