Advice on purchasing gas cylinder whilst touring France /Spain

Have tried and not successful to find info on other pages.
as above touring France/ Spain 6 weeks next month.
We have 2 6kg Calor gas cylinders. Would it be possible to buy a 6kg in France or Spain and use this in place of one of the then empty Calor cylinder.
Which Brand of 6kg bottle should I go for?
Is it possible to buy an adaptor/connector or would I need to source a tail pipe the van has a bulkhead regulator.
Advice would be greatly appreciated.

I bought the more expensive pig tail with the rupture valve as I drive with the gas on for the fridge as when using the 12v is only a cool box..
