Never use WD40 oil on a lock!WD 40?

Ive used WD 40 on countless padlocks and door locks and they have always worked slickly?Never use WD40 oil on a lock!
Unless the intention is to gum up the lock and knacker it on a permanent basis !
If you have done this, then acetone will remove WD40, if you can find a way of getting it into the lock.
(We soaked a dozen 'keyed alike' WD40'ed padlocks in a washing up bowl of Acetone, but they were never the same, we had to replace the set in the end. About £300 from memory)
