Isn't the lack of brakeaway system the thing your complaining about on your one example?

It is.
But a trailer under 750kgs is a Category O1. There is no requirement for brakes.
A TOAD falls in catO2. Brakes are an essential requirement. (And they must be operational all wheels).

If nothing else at least there is a chance folk might learn something from this discussion.

Except it was a “respected supplier” that dismally let down the user of the runaway TOAD.

I do not decry you Trailer qualifications or the name dropping you do in support of your cause, if you got it flaunt it
BUT.
1. You claim to be a truly well qualified Trailer expert.
2. You continually claim that Trailer regs are not suitable because A frames are different
3 Ergo you cant be A frame qualified
But by far your worst trait, as i have accused you of before is muddying the waters
bamboozling potensial A framers with gobbledygook and mis and irrelevant information and then when asked a simple question you go completely of track answering in a totally unconnected manner.
you should but all your efforts in getting this particular Manufacturer prosecuted leave the rest alone.
if you cant do that stick to Trailer laws and regs
