A photo of your van camping last night

There's another campsite a little way along the road on the outskirts of Hope that's not bad. Don't know the current price. It was £19.50 ten years ago.

Final night on the Erne/Shannon waterway.
Leitrim Marina. Another free park up with toilets, showers, black waste and fresh water. Approx 12 vans and 10 boats last night. Very quiet at night considering the number of people there.

The site is pretty decent but as usual not cheap. It was £41 a night. Usual standard loos etc. Easy walk into the town and of course walks galore in the area.

The weather wasn't th best ..

The old Mam Tor road was packed as usual with the off gridders.
Were staying at the Bakewell Camping and Caravanning Club Site, £29.00 a night with EHU, but they don't have showers or toilets, we are really missing Europe, most sites there are with full facilities for only €12 a night.

On our way back from Norway, Smøgen in Sweden was recommended, but was absolutely rammed. We didn't stop and went inland where we found a nice rural campsite adjacent to a golf course. Not too impressed with Sweden compared to Norway, which we thought was brilliant.

I think you mean Brecon. The free overnight carpark at Hay is some distance from the Wye, but still a useful facility - Thank you Powys County Council. 👍
Oh yes- it was Brecon thinking about it- great spot- Hay is where the best pies and pasties are in the UK truly delicious pie shop !

Hay on Wye also has a free car park next to the river from 8-8am
Correction- it is Brecon as someone has kindly pointed out- Hay has the best pies in the country IMHO which is saying a lot for a Northerner !

I wasn't going to post this because it's a place we wouldn't use again in July/August. But it's near the lovely city of Ravenna. A mosaic lovers delight. Amazing buildings too. Too many kids here. Pool is too small. But outside of the two crazy months in Italy, it could be OK. Camping Piomboni.

The town is quite small with a few bars etc. I found it a few years ago whilst riding to Adria on the Lambretta. The ice cream place is amazing and we can definitely recommend the Zabaglione Marsala special.

If you have a scooter, Este, Verona, Ferrara and Padua are a nice ride away.
