Overlooking Bridport from Washingpool Farm having travelled from home yesterday. Bought the makings of a great tea from their Farm Shop including Isle of Wight tomatoes that we could have brought with us. Not so 'exotic' as some previous postings but we no longer do foreign!

Broadway CMC site, with the Citroen 2CV. Here for a couple of days, as it’s the 2CV National Rally at the weekend so we thought we’d make the most of it.

162 miles in the car (swmbo driving the van) and it didn’t miss a beat 👏🏻👏🏻

A lockkeepers 2CV on the Canal de Nivernais near Clamecy, taken just the other day. With a Gallic shrug he said it had been his grandmothers car and was only 1978.

Was told the suspension was filled with vegetable oil , myth or truth?

this is true. The suspension “can” which contains the interlinked front and back springing has rubber seals so needs to be lubricated with a non mineral oil. Some people use caster oil, others cooking oil, or olive oil. You can of course buy the proper stuff from specialist suppliers but nobody does 🤣

it’s not so much filled with oil but has about half a pint each side.

Before we left this morning. Great little free stopover if you use the pub (EHU a available for £5) a couple of miles from Alton, Hampshire. There are some walks set out at 4 and 5 km so nothing too onerous. Food looks well priced. The pub itself is very clean, Inc toilets and staff were very welcoming. No road noise after @11pm and until @7.30am.
One to def put n your list if you're in the area! We used it after having comformatic fluids changed in Portsmouth. It's about an hour away from AM's

In Belgium 🇧🇪, just on the outskirts of Brussels to the North , Camping Grimbergen , lovely little site and very pleasant owner really helpful . 3 mins to bustop into the city 😉View attachment 764388
Stayed there a few years back…. have you checked out the gruesome monument in the nearby cemetery (near the entrance)? Not something you see every day.

A rare aire in Bosnia. In the afternoon a shepherd brought his flock past the van onto the football field we’re next to. Picture of those sheep in the thread.

There’s a lot of rubbish though. I picked up a bagfull and left a snarky review on P4N suggesting others did the same rather than just complaining.

Krujë Camping, Albania. (embroidered.trouser.reconciles).

Good site from which you can trudge uphill to the town in about 20-30 minutes. At least it’s easier coming down!

Apologies if you’ve already seen this in our Albania thread.

Orion no precise location for this site? Was there much road traffic in the night :)

W3W had some trouble giving us a position in the Adriatic but we were stationary all night stuck in a mobile traffic jam - does that make any kind of sense? :ROFLMAO:
