A photo of your van camping last night

Continuing with our ‘Swimming through France’ theme, we’re now at Camping ‘Le Site’ in the Gorges du Tarn. Just about to enjoy a rather nice bottle of vin rouge courtesy of a fellow French camper at Belcastel who had a flat tyre and no tools - Milwaukee rattle gun and a selection of sockets to the rescue!

This is the view of Castelbouc in the other direction just across from the campsite beach.

Had a Spanish van try that with me on a Stelplatz in Germany, looked out the window and gave him my opinion of his parking and he then moved over a fair bit!!😁😁
don't go to Aachen at Christmas. Spaces are tight already . But during Christmas Markets, they ask you to make 5 spaces from 3. Brugge Camping Memling is the same all-year-around on some pitches

Been fairly lucky in our 3 1/2 years as only had to have a go at a German and Spanish van for parking like Twats😁😁 all other times on sites and Stelplatz we have had enough room to walk and open doors😁

Edit; forgot about the German lady who thought it was ok to have her phone on loudspeaker and then shout back at it 😳😳
So sound bar up to full and Linkin Park on😁😁she soon found somewhere else to have a conversation 😁😁

Gorgeous little sosta in Lido Di Nota, Sicily. €20 per night and surprisingly we are the only people here. All services, including no limit ehu, tunnel under the road to a small sandy beach with a snack bar that sells Grillo wine.( that’s the local plonk) We left a positive review on SfS.

So far on the cureent trip we have been at a couple of very nice municipal campsites in Normandy, and today are at a site at Gourac in Britanny. I have been here before on a motorcycle trip and it is a charming little town with several restaurants and a few shops, with the campsite being in easy walking distance. The site is a pretty informal place with a few unusual features like communal kitchen areas and breakfasts on offer for a very reasonable 5 Euros. They also offer bike hire which we may take up for a ride along the adjacent canal towpath.

Camping Orta at Lake Orta, €23 per night (ACSI) with the thunder clouds rolling down the mountain - it's been so hot it's great to get some Mancunian weather ...

Now moved on and currently at Greoux less Bains, a very pretty spa town. Loads of nice shops, cafes and restaurants, so I suppose quite touristy, but all very tastefully done.

The town is in easy walking distance from a large ex-municipal, now motohome only site on the edge of town, which has all the essential facilities including EHU and toilets, but no showers. Can't complain for 13 Euros per night, payable at the barrier machine when leaving.

Got a good position for the Starlink mounted on the roof to see most of the sky, so should be OK for watching the football on ITVx tonight!
