All good things must come to an end. Last night of this trip St Nicholas d'Aliermont 14km from Dieppe. Free stop for three vans although there were six last night as the adjacent car park has 100 spaces. Free waste and dump charge for fresh water and leccy. Nice small town mixture of old and new unfortunately being Sunday afternoon everything except the 7/7 shop was closed. Handy for the port though 20 minutes and we're there.

Tonight’s “campsite”. Another Powys car park, this time in Machynlleth. 5 vans here. Pubs were quiet this evening.

I know it’s meant to be last night but I will forget in the morning.
You may find you get the milk tankers in but they do leave quietly. Well as quite as a tryck can. There parking in the club behind the coop used to be an extortionate £1.00 a day
Tha bakery at the clock end of town is wonderful.

When you see the pictures of 30 vans parked up, you’ve got to wonder how our councils don’t see the potential in having dedicated motorhome aires. The revenue generated in the towns surely must be worth it.

I know the potential threat from the travelling paternity, but measures can be put in place to prevent this happening 🤷🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️

At Carcassonne Aire this evening, preparing the oysters that I picked up in La Rochelle this morning…. And some fizz of course ! Note my proper oyster opening knife …

Accidentally purchased a cumin infused baguette… was rather wonderful. Maybe something to do with La Rochelle being a spice trade port back in the day.

Quand en France et all that …

And one from the night before, we were parked in the big car park in the marina at Les Minimes, La Rochelle.

We didn’t get the northern lights but did manage to sit on the sea wall watching the sunset. Again, a glass of fizz may have been present…

Tonight random stop in Maury Dept 66 , France. Just driving by and spotted the free aire. So I went for a play in the hills…

Now drinking red wine in the local bar with the hilariously loud locals 🍷
