Now its my last night before back to work, the view has changed to this (but still windy enough to rock the van). Its a bit spooky to be on a site where you realise that although there are 30+ caravans on pitches in the next field, I am actually the only person staying here.

Monfrague, Extramadura, Spain, drove from campsite into the stunning National Park to do some birding. Found a nice quiet parking spot and viewpoint below the castle overlooking the Penafalcon Massif vultures galore, Bonellis Eagle, Eagle Owl, Black Storks etc the list goes on. Sunny and 24 degrees. Wife reckons the Griffon Vulures in the third photo we’re checking me out for lunch😱😱🤣🤣

Be sure to let us know.

I can do jealousy with the best of them!
Currently in Sidi Ifni in southern Morocco - didn't really intend to get this far. I though more likely to be southern Spain.

Where are you?

Where are you?
That was a site on top of the hill behind Llanbedrog between Abersoch and Pwllheli (North Wales)

When i was young we used to holiday in this area and as children we knew we were getting close when we saw the "up and downy" mountains in the left of the picture.

It is not an L it is a capital i.

Ieper, or Ypres as the Brits called in during WW1.

Thanks for enlightening me. I’ve learned something new today!
It's a great place to visit, it was almost totally destroyed in WW1 and was completely rebuilt exactly as it was prior to the war, there is a museum in the cloth hall which tells the story of WW1 there, there is also a memorial to all the allied troops that have no known grave at the Menin gate, the local fire brigade play the last post every day 365 days a year and the only period this hasn't happened was in WW2 when the Germans had control of the town, the day they left the ceremony started again.

If anyone is interested Ieper is the Dutch spelling, Ypres is the French. The British soldiers pronounced it Wipers from Y-pres.

Visit the battlefields and cemeteries and eventually you'll ask the question - why?

St Martin la Plaine. Its high up and quite a view but you can't see it from inside

Over the road is the zoo. You can hear the animals.
Three others here all apart from us PVCs. Not surprising considering the narrow serpentine road to get here.
