The missus took the dogs out for a walk in the old spud field and caught this sunset.
I was speaking to the farmer's sis in law and she explained that as they'd just sold the farm in the village (always was their retirement plan) but have hung on to the land as it will be subject to compulsory purchase within the next few years as part of a ten thousand home Garden Village, and they're not allowed to make a profit from the land for the next three years, even though they've been approached by McCain's to rent the fields for another tattie crop ?
I imagine it will be growing weeds for the foreseeable ?

Moving on from Haynes to Lower Slaughter to my digs in The Lower Slaughter Country Hotel Inn, and very posh it is.
This am short drive to Bourton-on-the-Water and The Cotswold Motor Museum. Very old and varied stuff.
Another one ticked off the list.

A real trip down Memory Lane.
We used to live in Moreton-in-Marsh and Mrs Maison was the night Sister-in-charge of Bourton on the Water Hospital.
We revisited the area, in our motorhome, last month.
It's a lovely area. Love visiting. No trout in the babbling brook? though. Last time there there were plenty?
Came across this handsome fellow on the road up to St John’s in the vale church in the Lake District yesterday.

Margaret's eyes are as bad.... She thought it was a Turkey's head sat on large acorns at the end of a log!!

Trebarwith beach, Cornwall yesterday.
Don't worry. Normal service has resumed today. Woke up to a smattering of rain and grey clouds.How dare the sun shine when I’m not at home….
OK. Last posting on POTD thread for this trip to Spain, heading over the border to France to see if the weather will improve.....
Overnighted at the Area at Geldo, just inland from Valencia. There are some lovely Muriel's, or in modern parlance, Wall Art!
Well worth a look. Photo heavy I'm afraid!
The scale of the Art is amazing and neither of us can comprehend how it can be done off scaffolding? You can't exactly step back to check the perspective?

Had a couple of days at Peñiscola where we had blue skies for a couple of hours then back to rain...
Really enjoyed exploring around inland Spain and that will certainly be our focus when we return.

A cheeky long weekend away in the moho, only a 60 mile drive and over the border but a fave spot of ours for many years and some great birding so what’s not to like. Maybe a two nighter if forecast rain for tomorrow is correct. Many of you will know the location, Glencaple on the shore of the river Nith in Dumfries and Galloway where Motorhomes are both welcomed and catered for.
