8 miles today. Nice and sunny, but a chill wind.

No more hills to conquer around Delamere, so drove the short distance to Helsby (those roads are atrocious!).

Approaching Helsby Hill, love me a Trig point.

A nice varied walk round the back of the hill, then upwards, skirting Woodhouse Hill.

Followed the Sandstone Trail again. From Helsby Hill it deposits you on the B5393 for 300m. I Google Street Viewed it when planning, looks bloody dangerous. Which is ridiculous when there's a footpath and lovely quiet back road, leaving only 30m on the B road.

Round the back of Frodsham Hill, to take lunch at the War Memorial, with a fantastic view of the Mersey, Weaver and Ship Canal, Runcorn, Liverpool, Wirral etc.

Then back on to the Sandstone Trail, with a varied and enjoyable walk along the edge of Frodsham Hill, over Woodhouse Hill Fort, and finally back down to Helsby.

Looking back towards Helsby Hill from Woodhouse Hill.

A very good walk, even if I do say so myself!

A few snaps from our visit to Keswick in early March. Great weather and surrounded by beautiful scenery. The Pheasant? He was so tame, he would feed out of my hand, but I stopped because it bl*$dy hurt!

Above is my favourite pic of this run. Going to put it on the Motorcycle thread.
This road was about 15 miles, no MH allowed, very tight in parts. Did see a couple of PVCs
