A photo of the day thread

Now that it is so easy to upload photo's from phones, tablets and PC's to the site. I thought I'd start a photo of the day thread. Rules are simple.

You can post any photo here as long as it was taken by you in the last 24 hours.

I'll start with a picture taken on the long walk to my office this morning.

We call ourselves a democracy and yet these ridiculous speed limits are forced upon us by some faceless council bureaucrats.

I say to them... If you're that brainless that you have to drive at 20mph so you don't run someone over, then please feel free. Don't judge all of us by your standards. No offence.

I’m with Caravan guard and just renewing and am 81 in a couple of months. No problem

Got chatting to this vintage car owner after he’d come down from the hills to do his shopping in his old jalopy, Jed Clampit fashion. He proudly told us he last washed it 5 years ago and judging by the mud and dust I believe him. He also has a great sense of humour. Hope you can read the note on the dashboard.

“Remember that whatever the state of the road, it is bad driving to navigate the car in a sideways direction.” Quote: Lanchester Driving Manual 1901.

Jaipur is a great place. We got lost in a “local” walk around. Not quite Slumdog Millionaire, but very local. I got my haircut for 92p and probably paid well over the odds.
Nice one. Been many many times to all parts of India.
Love the place even though it is a poo hole.

I spent my 50th birthday in Jaipur. Love the place. We had dinner on the hotel roof and were serenaded by a local band. I didn't recognise any of the tunes they played, including “Happy Birthday”!
The Indian cricket team were staying in the same hotel at the time and the crowds outside, hoping to catch a glimpse of them, were unbelievable.
Happy memories.
