A photo of the day thread

Uses the wires to cross from the woods to the cottage, then any of the others to get across. Ends up scoffing the peanuts and nibbles on the fat balls.

We don’t mind in the slightest as we love all the visitors to raid the garden, including the herd of deer and now their young 👍🏻

Oh yes, tis a sunny evening and beautiful clear blue skies 👍🏻

I'd be interested to know if you are staying around there, which site or Aire? We're hoping to head that way in September. Cheers Smudger55

Please listen carefully. I shall say this only once. (sorry, couldn't resist!)

There is an Aire in the town itself. It's got prices for hours, ie €2 for 2hrs, €3 for 3hrs etc. It's €10 if you arrive after 7pm and leave before, I think 10.00am. We paid €15 because we arrived at about 2.30pm and that covered us until 10.00am this morning. I hope you're taking notes. I will be asking questions!

There are alternatives that I should mention.
About 1k to the West of the village there is an ACSI campsite, 'Camping La plage' It's No. 1382 in this year's book. €17 + tourist tax per night. It is beside the river, has a swimming pool, laundry and a bar.
BESIDE!!! the site is a Camping Car Park aire (I'm guessing owned by the campsite.) I don't know what the charge is per nt. but I'm guessing a short €15.
There are signs saying you cannot use the San. facilities but I think you can use the laundry @€5.

I hope this helps.
PS. There is a path, away from the road to the village of Le Roque Gageac.
After one nt. in the village aire, we are now in the campsite. Mrs Emmit wished to do her Widow Twanky impression.

Smelled the fragrance on the breeze before I saw these when walking the dogs up the river, it reminded me of the night scented stock we had in my parent's garden. I'm guessing it is some sort of stock, it has 4 small petals and a beautiful smell ?

We're staying at Porthtowan Tourist Park, this is an immaculate site, hosted by helpful owners.

We are here in a 7.8m MHome and an elderly dog who we have to take with the dog buggy. The weather is fine. We won't go out in the MHome so had the weather been wet we might have struggled for things to do.
Yesterday we walked into Porthtowan via the road, about mile downhill. However what goes down must return up, so 1 mile uphill pushing the buggy.
Today we took the scenic route towards Porthtowan which for most of the way is flatter except for final bit, which we didn't do.
Splendid views however.
Tomorrow think we might be able to walk to Portreath.

We're parked up here for coffee.

This schoolbus turns up at the Dolphin Centre, drops the kids off and proceeds to do a 9 point turn on the car park, getting very close to the MH....

You can guess what I thought!!!

Just seen this and now I'm intrigued.

Is this a standard van model? Or have they build a second bedroom on top?

Looks cool.
