A photo of the day thread

A few photos from Seville. The view from the top of the giant Setas wooden "mushroom" sculpture lit up at night. Plus the Plaza d'Espana, the Alcazar, and the cathedral.

If anyone is thinking of visiting Cardiff and looking for places of interest the Folk Museum at St Fagans is well worth visiting. Just off the M4, Junction 33. (No 20mph to complicate matters)!

Buildings from all over Wales have been dismantled and rebuilt at the Museum, furnished in keeping with the period. Here are a few samples….

And finally a Pub that is under construction. Horror! This is a museum and I have had a few drinks in that Pub. (I wonder if they will keep the original “sticky” carpets.

Lenny, you would be proud of us, free parking tonight on the banks of that river that runs next to Coimba.

Nice spot.
Few of Coimbra.
Good walk round for a few hours.
Personally, the streets/roads we walked to be honest we were not that impressed. Knowing us we probably missed the best bits. But been there done that.

That’s exactly the same spot I parked at for the night last December…👍🏼

Not unusual for us, spending a day on our travels in a local garage. The joys of travelling in an old banger motorhome.

The garage renovated and raced Sierra Cosworths. Probably the ones that got nicked in the UK and never seen there again

Hiked through the Carmenita del Rey / Chorro Gorge near Málaga.

That has been on my list to do for years. We had a villa up the road aways and still never did it.
Again great photos.
I won't wont be showing any of my pics of Seville in a few days to show myself up after yours.

Thanks Bob.. You could do the Carmenita del Rey as a day trip from Seville. Train there direct to El Chorro station. Shuttle bus meets the train to take you up to the northern entry point into the gorge. Need to book a slot online a few days in advance though as they restrict numbers going, and they sell out quickly.

50 mts from our pitch.
10 min walk to bar on beach. We got there at 4.55pm only to be told closed at 5pm. She's in the dog house again.
Weather last night was so bad. Thought we were going to be either blown away or washed away.
Bright sun as i type.
Orbitur at Guincho in Cascais.

If we were sat on the bar stools we'd be antiques. I used to be friendly with the andlords/ landlady's daughter

Obidos.
A chocolate festival going on.
Got some very strange looks when i was asking "any sugar free".

Must be a bit like asking for the ‘vegetarian menu’ in France!

Anyhows, after a week of on/off weather in Portugal we’ve scuttled over the border to a sunny and very warm Mothers Day at Isla Cristina in Spain.
