Went to watch the regional heats for ploughing competition. The horses were stunning and so well behaved. It’s not the most exciting spectator sport, but it was reassuringly nostalgic.

And anyone who went to the Notgrove Steam and Vintage rally would have seen this particular tractor on display. Today it was a little grubbier.

I always wondered why old tractors had skinny front wheels. Now I know.

My farming FiL was once holidaying in Morocco and he watched a guy ploughing using a camel and a donkey. The donkey walked on the headland and the camel walked in the furrow, needs must !

Taken at the municipal campsite at Issoire, just South of Clermon Ferrand. A great stopover, just a minute off the A75 and a big Carrefour just across the way for fuel. However, I digress. 20 seconds earlier this was a perfect fish head and bones 😂
