Beautiful as they are, you don’t want to encourage them to hang around. I have several herons nesting in a tree near my bedroom window and they are very noisy.

That's why man invented double glazing, we can't hear a thing through ours
🤣🤣🤣

Nasty things these.....I've seen a whole family of ducklings (8) being taken over a couple of hours by one of these.....they're as bad as magpies and Jays

That's nature I think you will find that's ducks can be viscous creatures too 🤔🤔🤣

Love Javea. That sea front/beach with all the restaurants is wonderful. Used to drive up from Busot (El Campello) often for lunch.

We love it, we live opposite the sandy beach on the arenal, we are next to the children's pool end ground floor. 😁 Bob.

Spectacular sunset over Plymouth tonight, it was even mentioned on the local news tonight.

But I couldn't match the sunset with supper. :)

How can you make kale* into something you enjoy eating?

I stripped the leaves from the stalks then boiled them for three minutes. I then added them to bacon, garlic and rosemary frying in oil and cooked for a good ten minutes or more.

I could eat it but it isn't like cabbage - which would have been tasty with a bit of crunch. Kale doesn't do crunch.

More work required. I will try shredding it next time. :)

* We get kale every week with our veg box and we don't want to chuck it out!

We went to Exmouth today for our exercise, we have previously lived there some 33yrs ago, love the seafront and I have run many a mile over the cliffs to Budleigh and beyond. We bumped into an old work colleague who I had not seen for over 35yrs, so good to have a catch up, SD of course.

You'll see that we had new driver, our Ralf and you can see in the distance the cruise liners, 5 I think parked up around Torbay.
