Hospital day again today but brightened and strengthened by receiving photo of my little grandaughter with what I had sent to her through the post. A unicorn armband and stick on earings.. Oh gosh I miss her so much.. Soon be 12months since I saw her. :(

A kid in our village had a Messerschmitt with the clear top. He ran it until he finished at uni. His next car was an E Type.
That met its end buried in a dry stone wall. Perhaps he should have stuck to three wheels.

Saw this Little Egret today on the River Pettril, a tributary of the River Eden, just on the outskirts of Carlisle. Last time I saw one was at Linton on Ouse a couple of years back, they seem to be coming further North ?
Just needed a submerged log to imitate a crocodile and I could have been on the banks of the Zambezi !

Some of you might remember my son Joe and his girlfriend Jenni from the Sunshine festival at Upton a couple of years back, he just sent me a few pics of their cruise on Ullswater today complete with Rusty pup and Dougal as crew !

Road trip with daughter and grumpkids. En route towards newquay where they stay with van and we come back for me to work.
Thank you riki for my first MacDonald in 10 years. It seems eating in includes the car park. Tenner for 5 of us

This is our stop last night and tonight at Catillon sur Sabre ( just a note the Aire by canal is now closed and service point moved to what was the over flow car park)

Hi Manic,
Catillon sur Sambre one of my favourite , shame about by the canal ,
whats it like , last time we were there it was just a rough area and they were justb starting on the service point.
