Just received... I didn't take it, sorry.. My little 4 year old grandaughter who I don't know when I can see again as I am high risk.. .. How can a photo make you so happy and yet sob tears of fear and pain at the world as it has become?

In the nee In our never ending quest to reduce rattles Mrs Maison has produced “socks” for our Gin and Rum bottles.

Overkill but, hey, you have to do something to pass the time when confined to barracks.

One of Mrs DBK's home made Cornish pasties. She used the recipe from the book written by the Hidden Hut which was nice but you need to use a little more water than the recipe says as the pastry was a bit dry and tended to break as she was making them. The recipe does say to add more water but judging how much seems tricky. More practice required! Yummy. :)

Mrs DBK definitely needs more practice John and I strongly suggest she sends one or two down here for me to give them a right going over and of course give feed back on their cornishness (is there such a word?) but i might have to sample quite a few before I can get a measured review of them....?

ps: I’ll pm my address..?

..... Can she make them with veggie mince too?

Just asking, like.
I'm sure they can but here's a vegan recipe I found which sounds tasty. :)

Nothing wrong with that me ansum'
I made some this week, funnily enough, the 24 hour rule prevents me putting up a photo
I had a similar problem so now use all Lard no margerine, half and half strong white bread flour and plain flour. Not that theres any flour available when our daughter did a shop for us.

Some photos from today's local dog walk. :) The lanes of Devon are coming to life. My first Bluebell of the year too although a weedy one hard to photograph. Hartstongue and I think a Male fern springing into action.

A nature and birds theme seems to be evolving here, so here's my contribution. This is a Californian Quail spotted in my Kowhai tree just outside my French windows this morning. Note the plume of feathers on the top of his head. They are more or less flightless, so I was surprised to see him in the branches.

Nice wee ride out the Westy and back through Mugdock today,Dumgoyne on the right and you can just make out Ben Lomond beyond my left grip. Social distancing was observed at all times
