Our walk from home this morning

I visited a local body of water today to road test that 35x mega lens I took the Moon picture with recently. The water is surrounded by bird hides so at least I had something to brace it on.

Even so, this one isn't quite how I wanted it to be because the shutter speed was too low at 1/60 sec. It's also the Devil's own job to focus it accurately. Anyway this was the best of some early attempts:

At another bird hide I increased the shutter speed to 1/125 sec and spotted this Long-Tailed Tit flitting about in the foreground. They don't stay still for very long so the continuous shooting feature comes in handy.

I also spotted this character. Not sure what species it is but it's a bit smaller than most garden birds - is it a Wren all fluffed up for winter or is it something else?

I can see them, if anyone can't it's probably a local problem to them - likely a slow connection. They should appear if folk wait.

Maybe, but I always resize them to 1000 pixels wide before I upload them and the biggest is only 182Kb.

No. I can’t see them there either.

Clicking the link brings up the gallery page headline with the word “Error” and the sub clause “you do not have permission to view Media” even though I am logged in correctly and can see any other photos posted recently.

I am currently in Tenerife so that may have something to do with it, as I am using a Hotel internet connection. It is a very good connection so I don’t think it’s anything to do with the speed as I have sent and received pics by e-mail and even posted one in “pic of the day” on the site.

Trying to view your photos on the original post shows small icons of photos with a Red Cross through them.

No.

Exactly the same.

Your posts shows an icon of a photo with a Red Cross through it.

The link leads to a page with the “Error” message, “you do not have permi to view Media”.

It appears that @CWH has the same problem so I am not alone. I wonder if @Jim, our illustrious leader can explain.
