We came across lots of these while walking our 5 mile walk . Seemingly people have put them up there for the deer to eat !

Haha! Looks like you've found the origin of Christmas tree baubles!

It was a bit stormy on the Isle of Whithorn last night. Power went off at 10 pm, but came back up at 4 am.

The first picture shows a boat outside our window that was trying to escape onto the land. What doesn’t come out is that the sea is actually on the road at this point, with the boats buffer thingys actually being in the road..

There was a bit of seaweed and other stuff on the harbour road this morning

This shows the same boat this morning when the tide has gone out. In the first picture it’s trying to get over the wall to its left.

The rocks and stones below had been thrown in by the tide, the boat was already on a trailer out of the sea..

This one tries to give a better idea of the size of the rocks that had been hurled up to the road

This is where the stones had come from

And this is the same shot as the first one, taken this morning

I was there yesterday watching the waves... I thought the little harbour light might get demolished again but I think it’s still standing, will probably go and have a look later...
Is the old harbour still OK? I can't imagine anything getting to the stone, but what about the gates? - I bet it'll need dredging again!

I’ve seen it worse, it was a messy water, waves breaking further out but the wind was pushing them in so it was probably the surge that broke the wall..... high tide today will probably finish it off...? The rest of the harbour looked ok..(y)
