I'm just reading a Donna Leon novel set in Venice, I've never been so those photos have helped me see what the characters are seeing - good timing The Searle, and lovely photos too - which square is your second picture please?
Oh I couldn't be doing with that!!! It'd have me in the screaming heeby-jeebiesView attachment 200880Bath Xmas market today not fun but missed the crowd and found a nice seat in a local pub for the afternoon
Just given my feathered friends some extra treats in this weather.
Seems a pity to wipe our dirty shoes on such a happy face .Nothing spectacular but think these welcome mats are perfect for our motorhomes ..

Couple of years ago you could stay overnight , but no facilities. Think even the water was turned off. Terrific views through 360 degrees from campsite.John I wasn't using the site, just visiting the Christmas Festival at the hotel, so I'm afraid I don't know.
According to the website they closed Oct 15th but I have a vague feeling that they allow overnighting, and then use of some facilities at the hotel? - I have seen mh's on the site later than 15/10.
Sorry I can't be more helpful.
The roads were fine thanks, well gritted so just a bit slushy.Couple of years ago you could stay overnight , but no facilities. Think even the water was turned off. Terrific views through 360 degrees from campsite.
Hopefully the snow on the roads ws soft and not too deep. After Glencoe , Skye is my next favourite place. Really getting too busy in the summer though. Now is the time to go , so jealous of your journey.
Thanks for your reply

Emma's been doing some knitting so thought I'd give it a go. Don't know how people can do it without even looking, I'm exhausted from all the concentration.
