A photo of the day thread

No, to be honest my red kite was just a guess having had one pointed out to me only two days ago and it being explained that they have distintive tails. :)

Ah ahhhhh. So you havn't seen the white tailed eagle by @CWH...;)

Had a large bird of pray flying over my house recent, not sure what it is but looks very graceful...

Yes I think it could have been one of these. Though I can't say it had white under its wings , but it did have an orange tinge to its belly. Big thing though.

And while I dont know much about birds of prey...

I think it is a Ford 5610 4WD tractor with a Krone round baler on the back (y)

This was taken when I went to Bath yesterday....

I thought it was beautiful until........

@Anthea M, @Janine @Mousy, and @JJ - look what my funny little Luthier sent me today - he's nearly finished something of outstanding beauty !

My uke is the very first one he has put his 'marque' on - understated, but cool don't you think? I think there's protective paper on the fret board, but the fret markers are mother of pearl......

To say I am happy is an understatement......

What d'ya think @JJ - do you want me to order you one.....;)

Love the Bath photo @cliffandger ... how beautiful. Love it.
I know Joy, and it was such a lovely sight as I turned the corner into the pedestrian area. It certainly put a smile on my face - sad to see how many people walked through it without seeming to notice though - obviously too busy to 'stop and smell the roses' (or to look up and enjoy the brollies), but they may have been workers (unlucky devils!)

To celebrate my 300th posting I thought I'd post a picture of our new van Billy Broadway with some modified ones.

The 1st one is the original and the others have been created using Prisma app on an iPhone. Brilliant app for arty pics.

The view of the setting crescent moon seen from "wild camping" at Ste-Croix-du-Verdon, early this morning - I like the moon.
