A photo of the day thread

Saw this delightful family on the river Eden in Carlisle today.

I have seen what's happened in Manchester and its just terrible, and I feel uncomfortable posting, but I feel if us 'normal' people keep going, we will beat fundamentalism in the end. Xx

@Popeye, @Khizzie, @JaG, @peterc10 - guess where we are?! A week of fishin, chillin, drinkin, and sunbathin...

Oh, and by the way - he says hello!

NOW I'm on my hollibobs!

Twin lakes, we liked it there when we went two years ago. My bar bill was bigger than my pitch fee and we only stayed for about 7 nights. Really nice guy Gary. Hope to stop by next winter to say hello as long as he got the Guinness in.

We're moving house.
First thing to move is my pride & joy, representing everything British, my old red BT telephone box.
Although we're moving around the corner, it was a bit of a tight squeeze, but we managed.

There is at least one Aire in Le Pouliguen by the river but it is very popular and another small one on the coastal road towards Batz sur Mer. I will look on Campercontact (might take a few minutes slow connection via 3) and find a few, I know you are familiar with the Aires around Piriac etc

Hi @matamoros ,
Is there an aire close

Managed to get Campercontact running, the Aire in Le Pouliguen is 14559 but it says it is €15, I would stop at one of the ACSI sites in the area rather than pay that.

The one on the coast road is 8711, next to a roundabout, we have used the dump point there but never stayed.

There is also an Aire close to this one not listed but it only opens in the season, possibly beginning of July, there is a barrier most of the time when we have passed.

Campercontact says it is possible to stay at the Blockhaus museum a bit farther along for free, 21676, we have seen vans parked up there but during the day.

A nice Aire at Le Croisic that we have used is 11845, machine not working when we were there last June, there is a good cycle track all along that coast.

There are a couple of Aires at St.Marc at the other end of the bay, which is a nice place, a statue of Mr Hulot which was filmed there and a series of German gun batteries in the next bay.

There are a couple of Aires at Quimiac, 1417 which is near the beach and next to the campsite that first drew us to this area but is a bit dismal under the trees.

The other Aire which we have used is at Kercabellec 42983, we go there for our Huitres and cockles in the bay if you like to get muddy.

There is a dump point on the main road near Mesquer.

Our static is between Escoublac and St. Andre des Eaux(there are two!), we like to use the van midweek to visit some of the Aires nearby, take our bikes with us, have a drink etc.....

If you are in the area PM me, we are here until the 5th July.
