A photo of the day thread

Thought I'd bore you with another one.
Costa Favolosa, this time on a scheduled call at Gib.

(I believe that the Ventura, in the previous photo) had laid off to drop off a passenger who had fallen ill.)

"Last Post" at the Menin Gate. Very moving especially for a Serviceman.
Thank you for the photo. A very moving place. Unfortunately we were on a tour of Flanders therefore couldn't stay until the Last Post. We have our remembrance day here on the 25th April - it is called ANZAC Day. We start the day with a dawn service. All shops are shut until noon. Many thanks

I didn't get a picture but we had a huge 3 dimensional moon here this morning. There is some mysterious about the full moon....

Working on the top end of the Hamble river today.
Have a couple of boats to wash and get ready for their owners to arrive this evening for the Easter break.
Its been a manic few weeks getting everything done in time for Easter, this week has been all boats - by the end of today we will have washed and prepped 16 boats in the last 4 days!

Photo taken on phone through the van window so apologies for the quality!

25 April is the date some British Army Regiments remember the battle of Gallipoli, my Regiment (The Fusiliers) is one.
@rangitira will, no doubt, be wearing a sprig of Rosemary in remembrance of the fallen.
ANZAC and British forces both had massive losses due to a crap General Staff.

Can't figure out how to post it here using a kindle, but search youtube for Eric Bogle's "Waltzing Matilda".
It says much.
