Lots now
Hi everyone
We are currently parked at Shrewsbury after fitting in what seems like a week of things into 1 day.
The list includes

A meeting in Manchester
A site visit and measure in manchester
A pick up of wheel studs from a trailer company in Chester
A supermarket top up of silly things food wise which are sometimes difficult to find in continental Europe.
A filling at the dentist in Middlewich
A missed delivery of a new rim for a trailer
A conversation with rim supplier as the DHL app won't work
A conversation with farmer Jeff where I store some trailers, he's going to swap my tyre and fit the new rim (great relief)
2 pints of delicious Butty Bach beer In a local pub near to our sleepy spot
A well needed meal at Hickorys smokehouse
Waking up 2 hours ago thinking to myself I hope DHL find the farm/storage next time

Not too bad a start but it did seem as we deserved the beer and food last night, it should be a decent drive today to the camc site next to Folkestone.
We are looking forward to this trip as it seems we have been in the uk too long over this summer.
This was due to family time which is always nice and a bit of dental work that was overdue.
We decided to use the chunnel which does seem to have gotten quite pricy but when I gave Phil the options he insisted on tunnel even when I would have been happy with irish ferries.
Looking forward to a easy time in france with no set path just sticking to the east side as we are off to Dusseldorf salon to view electric bikes and other bits we need.
We may call into Luxembourg as its been over 5 years since we where last there and possibly the mosel region again, not sure we will see where the wind blows.

We set off from Epernay to Laon, parking up just outside the city walls where there is parking for 6 motorhomes , no services.
It's very close and easy to walk in.
Visited the cathedral, and oh wow, it's a belter.
After walking around the town and along the walls, we picked up some bread and thought, "Let's get ourselves up to the coast ready for the weekend."
Currently sat in a very wet saint-valery -sur- somme on the local aire, we did manage to get a spot with electric so all good.

It's definitely worth it just for the cathedral. The parking spaces are next to a quiet road but if workers are going into the city they will pass early in the morning.
It has been added to the list, thanks.

So many things gone to the list :ROFLMAO:
If only we didn't have to work...😛
Sorry, an intrusive though 🙂
We are on vacation soon and enjoy threads like this that helps to shorten the wait.
Great pictures, as always, you two.
So many nice looking food😱

Laon does look really nice guys, we are on the coast but just above La Rochelle and it has been windy and wet, the wet has been intermittent but the wind has been constant till about an hour ago and all is calm now, hopefully we can actually get out and explore tomorrow, today it took me all my strength just to get the garage door open to get my coat out no chance the tandem.

What a wonderful day, we had a good wander about in the local town and then found a fantastic fish restaurant.
The food was truly sublime.
We then picked up some salt marsh lamb for lunch tommorow.
Although if the weather holds it may be a bike

Food looks great again. I'm sure we've been in there but just for coffee.

The food makes our Moules Frites last night seem a bit tame, tonights Salmon with Broccoli and Hollandaise sauce was looking good till the Hollandaise exploded in the microwave and I had to spend 20 minutes trying to clean up, that was in the van not a professional kitchen of course, we only have to wash up in professional establishments;)

What a lovely weekend, yesterday was a bike ride into Le Crotoy, we did try to spend money on a drink but we where too early so just cycled back to base.
Jules Verne loved the town and lived here for a while.
Lunch was delicious of course.
The local salt lamb we picked up on Saturday went down a treat, we have some left for sandwiches today.
We did our laundry at the local supermarket.
Now at Wissant aire in readiness for our tunnel tommorow.
