Lots now
Hi everyone
We are currently parked at Shrewsbury after fitting in what seems like a week of things into 1 day.
The list includes

A meeting in Manchester
A site visit and measure in manchester
A pick up of wheel studs from a trailer company in Chester
A supermarket top up of silly things food wise which are sometimes difficult to find in continental Europe.
A filling at the dentist in Middlewich
A missed delivery of a new rim for a trailer
A conversation with rim supplier as the DHL app won't work
A conversation with farmer Jeff where I store some trailers, he's going to swap my tyre and fit the new rim (great relief)
2 pints of delicious Butty Bach beer In a local pub near to our sleepy spot
A well needed meal at Hickorys smokehouse
Waking up 2 hours ago thinking to myself I hope DHL find the farm/storage next time

Not too bad a start but it did seem as we deserved the beer and food last night, it should be a decent drive today to the camc site next to Folkestone.
We are looking forward to this trip as it seems we have been in the uk too long over this summer.
This was due to family time which is always nice and a bit of dental work that was overdue.
We decided to use the chunnel which does seem to have gotten quite pricy but when I gave Phil the options he insisted on tunnel even when I would have been happy with irish ferries.
Looking forward to a easy time in france with no set path just sticking to the east side as we are off to Dusseldorf salon to view electric bikes and other bits we need.
We may call into Luxembourg as its been over 5 years since we where last there and possibly the mosel region again, not sure we will see where the wind blows.

A few more photos of the local area, whilst I'm stuck awaiting the service point. The guy doing the servicing is so slow. Arghhh. Nearly 15mins now.

Hi currently in Lac du Der on the CCP site near but not next to the Casino/Marina. Great cycle path for you to try the bikes out 32km round the big pond but NO shops so bring everything with you if thinking of a stopover
Very quiet after Nancy!

We managed to see Semur-en-Auxois yesterday another beautiful walled town, walked around and even though some restaurants where open we declined as tandoori chicken was in the fridge awaiting our return.

No mention of the luminar at Beaune, did you not go into the town in the evening? It's really good better than Chartres.
Last time we were there 9 spaces in the Aire but I counted 44 vans good job they have a big car park.

Love Lac du Dur especially in October when the Cranes fly in, last year we stayed at the free Aire on the east side as the ones on the West Side are now CCP, also the east side is better for the crane migration.

I've added that as a destination when we can get back on the road. It looks lovely.

Vèzelay was lovely but so quiet, there was 2 restaurants open but we didn't fancy the offerings. We are now sat in a bar in Auxerre as unfortunately we got here too late for lunch (sorry monsieur but we close at 2pm, this was at 1.05pm ).
No matter we shall grab a snack and enjoy the city.

Last nights meal.
We managed to get in without a reservation.
A nice restaurant with a great set up of a limited menu choice of 3 starters ,3 mains ,3 deserts this meant that each plate of food was of very good quality.
We did enjoy coffee and whisky back at the motorhome though.

We didn't move far, only to Chablis.
First we went to a wine museum which for €10.50 worked out good value as you got to try 4 different wines including a premier cru chablis.
This also could have included a overnight stay if required, no services.

We decided to use the ccp in Chablis instead as it's much closer to the town centre, yet set along a picturesque river, no views though, still nice.
A walk into town for lunch and to pick up bread, it's very quiet.
Lunch was delicious.

We had planned to visit Chablis earlier in the year but the weather in that area was bad so we gave it a miss. Definitely looks worth a visit.

Also we are very good at not including random persons in our pictures
