Yes but I keep forgetting what it is I'm getting excited about, I chased Yvette the other night, but when I caught up with her, I'd forgotten what I was chasing her for ...

Venue: Drax Sports & Social Club, Main Road, Drax, North Yorkshire, YO8 8PJ

Dates:
Arrive Thursday 31st July (after 9.30am).
Depart Tuesday 5th August.

Price: £90 per unit for 5 nights. (Fixed price)

Deposit Payment:
A ‘non-refundable’ deposit of £ 20.00 is required no later than Sunday 6th October . I will send you a PM with payment details.

You MUST ensure that your reference is your forum name when making your payment for both the deposit and balance payments.

Balance Payment: £70 required no later than 1st June 2025.

*** If the balance is not received by 1st June 2025, and we have had no written notification/contact as to why, then it will be assumed that you no longer wish to attend and your name will be removed from the list.

Cancellations:
Deposits are non-refundable. In the event of any cancellation, your deposit will be used for costs incurred and/or given to charity.

Live act information:
Our music will be supplied by the fantastic professional DJ's Dyna-Mix, those that have been before will tell you how great Rob and Vicky are at getting the dance floor filled.

All evenings - music by Dyna-mix

Friday evening - "Country Bound".
There is a Country theme going down. Grab your cowboy hats and boots for a "Hoedown Throwdown" and dance away to a fun, upbeat band that play modern country songs as well as some classic floor fillers reimagined in a country style. There is something for everyone.
Prize to the best dressed and the best dancer!

Saturday evening - "Platinum Party Band".
A five piece band of very talented musicians from South Yorkshire who will play the greatest hits from all genres. Dancing shoes at the ready!

Sunday evening - "Caroline Seymour".
Back by popular demand! Energetic, solo female vocalist. If you have any energy left after the last two nights, Caroline will find it for you.

The google form link has been added to the first post of this thread, to be completed by all attendees after their balance has been paid. Please do not complete if you have not paid your balance yet.

Further information has also been added re details of the Acts, venue and food etc.

Also, as per previous years, Drax Power Station have offered us free organised tours. These last about 2hrs and we will have 60 limited places for the Thursday and Friday. Before the final details are made, I need to know if there is any interest for these tours. The feedback from previous tours has been positive but there are some staircases, so not really suitable for anyone with mobility issues. If we can't get enough numbers, then we won't offer the tours.

More information will be posted as and when, so please check back.

Ladies and Gents.

In readiness for Friday evening's act - I've made enquiries and managed to find a Qualified Line Dance Instructor that can give us a lesson on Friday 1.30pm to 3.30pm. This will be a beginners class, from an instructor that makes it fun! The maximum that it would cost is £5 each but could be less, if I can get enough takers (fingers crossed) . I would need to know who is interested ASAP, as I need to secure the booking with the instructor.
