The problem with Chess, and a number of the other 'skill' games, is one person is 'skilled' whilst the other is not.Chess would be the obvious choice?
Which means one person wins every time and the other loses every time.
The skilled person does not get much of a game as winning is too easy,
and the other person does not see much point in playing a game where they lose every time.
Hence games that involve a large degree of luck are better, for example backgammon, as no matter how skilled you are, a beginner stands a chance of winning.
