2.2 dpfissyes.

Not sure about the transit but the Citroen version ignites it with a glorified glow plug and fuel injector
Citroen and pug have the same PSA 2.2 engine.

My transit us showing dpf full, despite being only 3 weeks since last 250mile run.

Seems like it won't regen.

Garage want to do a forced regen next wed thinking there might be a software issue that needs an update??

Cheers James

Possibly... It did say drive to regen which I did for about 30mins to no avail.

I would keep it to 2000rpm,for at least 20 mins, after it has reached medium temp on the gauge,,if that doesn’t work it’s a sensor,,,back to the dealer,,(y)

Garage cannot find fault, they even said it was because fuel was below half full!

Just will not regen don't know why?

Booked into transit specialist Monday!

Update £300 later the garage sub contracted it to specialist who did a software upgrade which I'm hoping has fixed it.

If you have an early euro 6 transit it may need a software upgrade to manage the regen more proactively.

I've also seen lots of reports of the Mk8 Transit suffering injector problems.

Latest saga on my transit....

When they did the dpf software update they managed to reinstate the Speed limiter!

Now they say that the new software from ford has a tamper lock on removing the speed limite / tuning it!

Doh garage still trying to find a way round it!

Any ideas?!

So I'm down staying at my sister's rather than in the van!

If you wan't to delete speed limiters or other features, I regret to say that one of the black market guys advertising on facebook is your guy. They openly advertise the ability to edit mileage and delete dpf etc and all for about £100. No use really to ask them to remap anything other than a generic map, as you need a rolling road to do it right. But for your needs

Update....

I've been a silly boy and not used it on longer runs and not filled it up full.

Hence it's gone into limp twice, first time it got a forced regen which worked for a week! so now needs deep clean, or replacement either new, second hand or recon

Your thoughts?

Cheers James

I know of a garage in Grantham which has expertise in bringing dp filters back to life. If you are anywhere near there and need the garage name let me know.

I know someone that knocked the guts out of their dpf and had a bit of ecu work done.

He never had an issue after that 😂

In Yorkshire there is a specialist in pontifract.

The mk8 Transit hasn't been fitted with the 2.2 since 2017, neither has any PSA Boxer or Relay. The partnership for commercial engines ended in 2016.

From 2017 the Transit mk8 has been fitted with the 2.0 Ecoblue, 115ps, 130ps & 170ps. The 160ps became available in European markets from late 2019. Same engine they use today in the Mk8 facelift (from 2020) or what is now rapidly being called the mk9.
