I was just quoted that price for a 100 Ah Lithium battery by my German dealer. It would be a replacement for two AGM batteries that come as standard equipment on my MH. From everything I can see this price is way out of line. Am I missing something?

I always liked the Votronics on the Flair but when the new ones wouldn't work on the Morelo with Lithium I went Victron instead, one "blue" controller was the price of two Votronics but had the extra capacity to cope and I have to say "a lot more features" (y) I might just be a convert.
Votronic is good proven kit no doubt but have adopted the ain't broke don't fix it and have become stagnant, just really falling behind victron more so in the applications and total solutions victron offer on the monitoring side of things include fresh, grey, black and gas tank and all temps monitoring.
They started making great progress when they opened up their Venus software to include add-ons from some very clever programmers and developers from the victron community and of course good business as it doesn't cost them the development.

Yes indeed but some people just want an easy "fit and forget" mppt solar reg which the Votronic are or were until they seem to have had some problems with LiFePO4 set ups.

Don't think anything is fit and forget these days, horses for courses I suppose

You,ll find most of the cheaper Chinese pre assembled jobbies are using pouch cells.
Not all of them, ultramax it’s a relative cheap Chinese LiFePo4, and are made of cylindrical cells. The bms it’s not the best, but not bad at all. The cells are not traceable, or at least nobody found anything about their origin yet.
