Sully to Jargeau by bike

We have been to Sully several times. We see it as a place we know we can get in, is free, with dump and water, lovely small town and chateau.
When we here last year we cycled to Gien. It is not a great ride. Hardly near la Loire and mainly roads.
So we went off towards Orleans and noted that is 50 Kms so we would just cycle into the fresh breeze and turn round about 30 Kms or if we saw rain.
First up is I misinterpreted the bridge to go over. We got to the road bridge and saw the other one and presumed railway bridge. WRONG. It's a dedicated foot and cycle bridge about 450 m long. We did it upon return.
There is minimal road travel, and no cars were seen on any of the roads. Nearly all dedicated pathway. Large percentage of it smooth tarmac but some of it on la Loire embankments so wind can be an issue. Equally some cover from hot sun in tree areas.
We passed through very pretty villages and some holiday shacks with unique tree houses before crossing the river lit. Signs up to say beavers in area but not that could be seen from pathway, however, about 200 yards sully side of the footbridge was trampled evidence of humans walking that way and 2 cars parked there en route back. Hindsight says we should have investigated more there.
Chateauneuf next on the agenda. Lovely town. Good port as well but follow the cycle path signs up an alley onto one way system to reach town with museum of la Loire. (Not visited)
This is at the 20 Kms from Sully mark. 10 Kms further up is Jargeau. We hardly explored but cycled through the shops in the narrow streets but we're looking for bread and ham and found an Auchan which was a bit of a surprise. It the chucked it down so monitored clouds, forecast and radar for return journey.
Ducking between showers we found a plant cemetery. Although small it was pleasant and unusual and then noted a detour of 1.5 Kms to Germigny does pres. Nothing ventured nothing gained, we went. Noted 9th Century church marked up on board, thought that would be worthy. Small church but a whole coach load of french in there on a tour. Thinking there must be more to this church we read that it was built in 806 in the time of Charlemagne. Some Latin inscription referred to the ark. (Of the covenant?) and they were all well intrigued by it. Back home with the wind behind us we cracked open a couple of beers and came across the "railway" bridge before checking out "SFC" in the town which we saw last night. We strongly suspect Sully Fried Chicken.

We are now towards that place but wondering why 500 cars just turned up by the lido and they're carrying wine bottles. SFC or party ..... Or both ?

Just an update that the SFC won. The cars stopped coming in all of a sudden so we reckon school play. SFC comes highly recommended. Bit of a wait but worth it. Think it was air fried as no greace like distant cousin KFC. We went for the mix menu meal consisting of 5 wings 3 Tinder's (fillet) chips and un boisson for 7.50 euros each.
We couldn't finish it so chicken into fridge for tomorrow lunch. The coating had a nice tang to it. Quite busy with locals. We ate in at the booths. Located near to office du tourisme and this is approximate not precise.
