Off we go........... May 1st 2023

Now into Spain via N-135, first night spent at an Aire on the edge of Pamplona. We had a day mooching the old part of the city and followed some of the bull run, not sure we need to go back there!! Next stop was the free aire on the outskirts of Rioseco de Soria a lovely little village sitting at just over 1009 mts, we stayed here for three nights the only nights we had to have the heating on!! we visited the village of Calatanazor, this walled town and castle, offers breath taking views of the entire valley. Traditional architecture of the Tierra de Pinares region, made of wood, adobe and stone. The split slate chimneys are another characteristic feature of these buildings.
Onward to Neuvo baztan via the so-p-4046 calling in on Fort Gormaz..............................to be continued.
